Um, perfect IIPA. I’ve probably said it before, but the hops here are done in such a classy manner. Beautiful cloudy orange look. Mouthfeel is crisp yet long. Drink.

Pours cloudy amber with a lot of white head. Smells of caramel, citrus and pine. Tastes the same with a nice bitterness throughout. Finish is long with bitterness and warming alcohol.

Pours opaque orange, faint bubbly off white. Musty malts, citrus, resin on the nose. Basement musty notes, caramel malts, faint citrus hops. Fairly off balanced but I'm still sipping.. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Only ok for me. Nose is odd... Can’t really place it. Leather? Damp clothes that have been in hamper too long? Mouth is more pleasant, but pretty sweet, which i typically like. Up front sweet fruit with maybe a toffee backing. End is mild hoppy bitter. Medium body in mouth. Pours orange with thin off-white head. Tons of lacing.

Draft at the Birch. Dark bronze and opaque. This goes down with a full-on assault on your palate with a two-gun attack of hop juice and earthen grist that could’ve come from a soaked rope. One of my partners called this ’chowder’ it was so meaty -- but damn it’s good! (#4599, 5/16/2012)

Bottle. Pours a hazy orange copper with dense light tan coloured head. Big malty sweet aroma with syrupoy sour orange, Flavour is very syrupy sweet with only mild resiny hop bitterness to balance. Medium mouthfeel.

not overly excited by this one. looks good. deep copper ornage with a thin copper hued head. smells pleasent enough, but the taste is unbalanced. too sweet, too malty, not enough bitterness. and the alcohol lick really crushes the taste buds. bottle. wineways. harrogate

Way to malty for my tastes. Syrupy with a heady malt nose. Not my fav Mikkeller. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: APR 27, 2012 Bottled. Pours slightly hazy and amber with an off-white medium sized, firm head. Nose of citrus, grapefruit, bread and caramel notes. Medium weet flavor with citrus, pineapple, nuts and breaddy notes along with caramel. Medium bodied, creamy texture and average carbnation. Nice bitter finish with alcohol notes.

Lowenbrau (350) - SPAIN - APR 23, 2012
UPDATED: MAY 1, 2012 330ml bottle. Some cooked vegetables aromas, along with alcohol. Ambe to orange color, hazy, with nice white head, displaying good lace. Full bodied, average carbonation. Some hops flavors but alcohol products domine, not very balanced. Long abrupt finish. The high abv (almost 10%) makes it hard to drink.
