COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle: Filtered.
A blend of 1/3 young beer and 2/3 of beer aged 2 years in large oak vats. The more important proportion of oak matured beer contributes to its fruity taste, complexity and intensity. The finish is worthy of a great wine.

Bottle. Slightly darker color than standard Rodenbach. Aroma is more pronounced, and moves towards aged red wine. Sour cherries, oak, and a metal aroma dominate. Taste is a deeper sour and sweet than the standard Rodenbach. I would say the normal Rodenbach is more of a refreshing beer to have a couple of, this one is a degustation beer. Aftertaste is relatively sticky and sweet, cherry.

A great sour fruity beer - the aroma is not very strong but I liked it. I really liked the amber color. The greatest feature is the taste - I enjoyed the fruity and refreshing flavor with a tone of cork.

Heel mooi bier, echter niet mijn smaak. Te veel zuur en te weinig hop en citrus. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bomber to tulip. Pours a dark reddish brown with a pale brown head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is tart, leather, vinegar, cherries, with a slightly sugary candy-like sweetness.

One of my favorites beers of all time. Pairs well with many foods and most cheeses, it even makes Gouda taste good. I need to buy this more often.

Color is between red and brown. Nice aroma of red fruit and red wine. Taste is mixture of sour and sweet and is a bit vinous. It has a bit more character than a regular Rodenbach, hence the slightly higher score I gave it.
