COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Edward (1917-2002) is our grandfather; Hill Farmstead Brewery rests upon the land that was once home to him and his five children.  In his honor, this American Pale Ale is dutifully crafted from American malted barley, a plethora of American hops, our ale yeast and water from Edward’s well.  It is unfiltered, naturally carbonated, and dry hopped.  Aromatic and flowery, with impressions of citrus and pine, this is the ale that I dream to have shared with Edward.  13.5ºP, 85 ibus, 5.2% abv. Pale and Caramel malt; Centennial, Chinook, Columbus, Simcoe, and Warrior hops; House Ale Yeast, and our Well Water.

Pours a cloudy orange with a fluffy white (And I mean pure white head). Lacing is perfectly distributed. Notes of pine, grass and grapefruit. Silky smooth almost like it was poured on nitro. Palate is slightly watery.

On tap at Farmhouse Tap & Grill (Burlington). Pours hazy peach-amber with thick white head and some lacing. Aroma is a great mix of citrus, floral notes, hops and pines. Taste features a strong (and well balancd) citrus bitterness. Dry finish and long lasting bitter aftertaste. Medium to full bodied. Silky feeling. Among the best of its kind.

On tap in Burlington. Pours a orange, darker than Harlan. Aroma is very light, could use more. Taste is light, dry, hoppy, citrus, not overly bitter. Another easy drinking beer. Very nice pale ale.

750 growler, filled 6 days ago, thanks Dany. Cloudy dim yellow. Aroma is unsweetened grapefruit and citrus. Taste is very light grapefruit and orange juice pulp. Super clean finish with no lingering flavors. Sort of similar to the other HF IPAs in that the flavor is really good but very soft and no bitterness. And this is the lightest one I’ve had so it’s even more gentile. This would be a great session beer. Too bad I can’t slam a six pack as opposed to drinking 1/4 of a 750.

---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

From 2 l growler in tulip. Slightly hazy orange with a thin head that leaves beautiful laces. Lots of citrus and passion fruit in the nose. A light grainy note. Taste is tropical fruits with a little tart and a long medium pine and grassy bitterness. Low carbonation. Perfect APA with a beautiful fruity hop profile and a light body!

Pours hazy glowing dark amber, with thick white head. Smells of pine, malt, citrus, hops and orange peel. Taste is earthy malt, hops, citrus and notes of grass on the bitter finish. Once again mouthfeel is smooth and silky. Medium body, medium.
