0,25l bottle as gift from Denmark. Opaque, black color with medium, creamy, dark brown head, which disappears quickly. Sweet, alcoholly odor followed by roasty, smoked malt flavours. The aroma is incredibly smoky and roasty. At the beginning it’s sweet and caramelly, but after the firs impressions it’s dry and tastes like a roast pork. It’s definitelly made with a lot of smoked malt, which causes this meet flavour. It must had a lot of chocolate malt too which makes the color so black, but it doesn’t make the beer sour and bitter. Alcohol and honey flavours also appears. Dry, intensive and complex taste, nothing can dominate, but all the three basic flavours (sweet, sour, bitter) appears. Full bodied with oily texture and light carbonation. Roast pork finish. It’s an interesting beer. Surprisingly complex, incredibly oily and full bodied. This beer is dominated by the malty flavours, and from this view it’s the opposite of the Mikkeller Black Hole, which is a "hoppy imperial stout". It’s a concentrated beer, 25cl is totally enough. The alcohol content isn’t too high, and it can’t be felt as dominant in the aroma. The texture, the body, and the malty flavours make this beer this rich and concentrated.

330 ml bottle from Gallagher’s Beer World/El Irlandés. Pours an impenetrable jet black color with an almost non-existent light brown head whose traces disappear quickly leaving the tiniest of lacings. Aroma is gorgeous, heavily malty and bold. Notes of plums, prunes, oak, roasted grains, whole-grain dark bread, caramel, molasses and brown sugar. Moderate alcoholic notes that add heaviness and some rhubarb to mix up and add complexity. Some earthy touches. Almost /Dubbel Quad like hybrid. The lack of head dampens a little bit the enticing nose. Amazing taste, very intense, sweet with some umami touches. Strong sugary roastiness provides caramel and molasses flavors with some traces of dark fruits. Some additional flavors include dark olives and soy sauce in fair amounts. Mild woody notes and some booze round up nicely this Imperial Stout. It’s like a roasty Quadrupel. Big body with a fine dense oily texture. Low carbonation, quite a lot of alcohol character. Definitely a massive brew to sip slowly. Seems like the Barrel Aged version mellows the sweetness a little bit and incorporates some extra hints of complexity. This regular version is still wonderful.

Damn. Pours like thick crude. The kind of stout that makes you contemplate life and believe in a higher power. Best kept for yourself.

11.2 oz single bottle from Supermarket Liquors. Inky black pour with a tiny dissipating brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, molasses, bitter chocolate, light coffee grounds, dark fruits, leather, anise, light char, toasted coconut and light earth. Similar flavor, complex, rich and pretty bold. Pretty full body with a smooth oily feel, a coating mouth experience, soft carbonation and a lingering finish. The alcohol is mostly hidden. A nice sipper overall.

Oily black appearance with hints of red, and no head. Tastes of roasted coffee, bourbon, dry wood, red wine, alcohol, dried fruits, rubber and peppers. Heavy body, moderately carbonated, and a long strong finish of roasted malt and chocolate.

Superbe.

The description was right, punch in the face it is! Heavy stout aroma and taste, with the 12% of alcohol kicking only through the breath after swallowing the beer. As awesome as it is, you can’t drink this beer, you have to take the time to savor it! I still prefer the milk stout from the same brewery, easier to drink.

Biere très crémeuse. legere amertume, torréfaction. L’alcool se goute très fort en première gorgée. A boire très calmement

Aroma reminds of bourbon barreled stout. First in the mouth is kind of magic. Coffee and chocolate mousse. Later on, more roasting and pure chocolate.
