Thanks to eaglefan538 for sharing this with me. Straw colored pour with frothy head and a fruity aroma. Just mouth-puckering tart, lightly fruity with pear and apple flavors. Just so funky. The cork had some kind of primordial sludge on it that made me slightly fearful, but this was delightful. I need more Cantillon.

Pours a hazy gold from the bottle with bubbly white head that lasts to leave light lace. Aroma is spearmint, I guess elderflower, big freshness, like what you would think an organic lambic would be. Taste is big fresh spruce, grass, floral, spearmint, amazing, sour funky must on the back end. Odd, but amazing.

Bottle. Golden orange color, almost no head. Aroma of flowers and grass, very nice. Taste is modestly sour and tardy, just the right balance. Notes of elderflower, herbs, horseblanket, berries and a nice bittersweetness. Very good.

750ml bottle from beermerchants.com. Bronze amber colour, foam white head and aroma of elderflower, lemon rind citrus, funky yeast. Flavour is tangy, citrus rind, elderflower, woody, barnyard, hay, herbal notes, sour. Smooth slightly oily mouthfeel, medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying sour finish. Very drinkable.

Cloudy darkened golden, decent scoop of a white head. Odd green apple chewing gum - cooling and tart with a fading sweetness throughout. Doughy batter. Sifting carbonation throughout. Nice smack of floral sweetness towards the finish. Should have had more time with this.

Tasted as Cantillon Zwanze 2009 at an open house day of the brewery. Loose, cream white, thin head, deep orange colour with somewhat reddish hue. Complex aroma, unripe plums, lemon, redcurrant, hay, apple peel, sulphur, sweat, all adorned by an elegant, strong elderberry floweriness. Softer and less acidic than usual for a Cantillon, very complex though, very estery, in which the lambic complexity is cleverly interwoven with a spicy, ethereal, aromatic elderblossom taste. Better than that 2008 rhubarb version.
