Thanks to eaglefan538 for sharing this with me. Straw colored pour with frothy head and a fruity aroma. Just mouth-puckering tart, lightly fruity with pear and apple flavors. Just so funky. The cork had some kind of primordial sludge on it that made me slightly fearful, but this was delightful. I need more Cantillon.

Clear golden color with no head. Nose is elderflower, elderflower lemonade, tart apples, bit of lemon, slight barnyard. Flavour is classic cantillon sourness with elderflower fresh flowers.

Delt 0,75 l flaske. Disig rødgyllen kropp med et høyt lyst gyllent skum. Friske, fruktige villgjærtoner i nesa toppet av moden pære. Syrlig smak med hylleblomst og treaktige peppertoner. Medium fylde.

Aroma of strong elderflower, light barnyard and doughy honey notes, incredibly inviting. Taste is lots of elderflower, nice bitterness and a peppery harsh horseradish like tearing as it goes down your throat, bitterness is almost like wood bitterness, this has beer seemingly has more oak character than other Cantillons, and to me is also among the best fruited with Lou Pepe’s.

Mamouche ’14 vintage Pours a clear, sun yellow color, with a small white head, producing a ring of lacing. The aromas reveal flowery green pepper, wild honey and dandelions among a well pronounced barnyard funkiness. The beers sourness is easily recognizable on its own, while it blends really well into the dough flowers, without overpowering their nuances, highlighting the beers subtle qualities. Produces a certain wine gum aroma, without turning sweet at all, exhibiting old hops and dusty malts. Has a lower carbonation, with a slick finish among a pleasantly light bodied beer, with a nice tart refreshing mouthfeel to it. The taste offers dusty malts among leather and a lemony tang, among matured grassy hops and a brett infused tartness. This foundation gets lended more depth by the addition of young green pepper, wet flowers and a whiff of wild honey. Pushes the flavors into a slick dryness, while featuring a unique blend of flowers and herbs, with green pepper tying the taste together. Finishes with a lemon peel infused sourness, creating a dry crispness, together with earthy malts, showcasing slightly toasted green pepper in the very back end of the palate. This is a very unique beer, as it creates an unforeseen melange of great flavors, ranging between flowers, honey and fresh green pepper, blending together to a fantastic lambic. It tastes very refreshing, while it reveals a lovely depth of flavors, which makes this a gulper and a sipper at the same time.

Bottle. Hazy gold/orange with a whiteish head. Earthy bitterness (the elderflowers I presume) with Mint, grapefruit, oak and barnyard funk. All flavors very well balanced together. Soft mouthfeel and not overly acidic. Highly drinkable. Spectacular and unique.

Un superbe lambic au nez complexe et élégant qui allie sureau, fleur de sureau, lambic et note de houblon. Bouche tout en fruit et fraîcheur, de la puissance, de l’équilibre, de la longueur et de la complexité.

Bottle to glass at the brewery. Pours a slightly hazy straw golden color. Has a decent sour nose with big spicy floral notes. Touch of sour in the flavor, but overpowered by the Elderflower spiciness. Very unique. Nothing like any of the other Cantillon offerings, but I like it.

2014 bottle. Pours a cloudy amber color with no head at all. Tart aroma with a strong floral finish. Medium sour taste with a floral mix in the balance. Amazing beer. Light sourness. Love this beer!
