Bottle. Pours a perfect pitch black, with a big brown creamy head. Aroma is liquorice and tobacco, with coffee, oak, vanilla and some nice burned notes. Alcohol is remarkably well disguised. Very nice full creamy body, with an almost flat but still noticeable carbonation. Good and complex flavour with sweet roasted malts and vanilla, as well as oak barrels, liquorice, caramel and kandi. Long sweet finish with a nice tobacco touch.

Bottle shared by Todd. Thanks! A: Mahogany brown, yeasty looking body with a mocha head. N: Soy sauce, cocoa, espresso, grass, smoke, and charred wood. T: Smokiness and grassiness. Some sweetness - I expected this one to be a bit of a malt bomb, but it wasn’t. M: Medium-heavy body, no alcohol. Some stickiness. O: A fine beer, but I preferred the Bourbon-vanilla Dark Lord and Narke. Not really a fair comparison; I would probably want to try this one again.

Bottle @ Café Buitenlust, Oirschot. Opaque pitch black color, medium sized light brown head that lasts for quite a while. Aroma is malts, quite strongly liquor, some roast, lightly tar. Taste malts, lightly roasted malts, liquor, lightly liquorice, tar, bitter. Roasty bitter finish. Full body, medium carbonation.

Really small bottle (my girlfriend actually laughed when she saw it and asked me if it was hot sauce) sent to me a while back from Botlz555, thanks man! Thick black pour with a tiny layer of chocolate mocha head. Aroma is dark fruit, oak, very boozy, and port like. Taste is sweet brown sugar up front, syrupy mouthfeel, soft carbonation, dark fruits, oak, ash, sticky sweet aftertaste, exceptionally smooth finish with absolutely no hint of the booze. Wow, this is so well rounded and smooth, absolutely love it.

Bottle from Hopduvel. Palate is incredibly rich and full and balances sweetness with roasty notes, bitters on the end. Taste is dark chocolate, deep sweet soy sauce and coffee beans. Amazing one!

Nip bottle to celebrate my birthday & more importantly rating #6000. It pours jet black with a thick dark tan head. The nose is rich, roasty, coffee, earth, dark chocolate, mild acidity, fig, date, christmas pudding and cocoa powder. The taste is rich, oily, deep roast, espresso coffee, warming alcohol, motor oil, bounty bar, earth, some acidity, toast, spice, plummy, treacle, oak and salted caramel with a slick, warming finish. Dirty full body, fine carbonation and oily mouth-feel. Big and punchy, yet somewhat drinkable. A great imperial stout.
