Sort of sweet yet drinkable and light. Had this on draft with dinner and it was really good, though didn’t pair as well with the entree (pasta) as it did with the heartier appetizer. Fairly mild in flavor, with a clean finish. Better than I remember.

Poured from draught keg. Good looking beer with thick pillow head and good lacing. The malt hits you hard initially and you get a nice aftertaste of caramel. Good beer.

Can 500 ml. Brown beer with a medium quickly disappearing brown head. Aroma: slight notes of malt and caramel. Flavor is slight malt and caramel and a mild bitterness. Mouthfeel is creamy but watery. Average brown ale. Drinkable.

I love Newcastle on Draught. Unfortunately, I don’t find it to be as appealing bottled. Maybe this is just me.

Test vom 8.8.2008, Gebinde: Dose Noten: 9,11,11,11,8,9 - 9,85

Bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a light nut brown with about a finger of white head. Aroma of caramel with a little bit of roasty banana. Taste is about the same. Light bodied with a somewhat creamy yet watery texture. Lively carbonation and a decently long finish. Overall, not bad. Something to drink when your only other choice is an American Macro.

Very nutty!... as Austin Powers would say... Almost better at room temp.... weirdly.... IMO... lighter and better than its brother Guinness..

Cola colored with a ver thin head. Modest malty aroma and a medium bitter taste with an undistinguished finish.

Sweet caramel aroma with no complexity, but still is the best part, where taste is a bit sweet in the beginning, extreme thin body and a vague sweet aftertaste of cheap candy.

Bottle. Sweet, nut and malt aromas. Pours dark copper colour, clear, with vanishing white head, some lacing. Medium body and flat carbonation. Taste is sweet, malty, some herbal. Nice one, but more taste would be appreciated.
