Pours clear copper color with a small head. Aroma of toffee, some ripe fruits, caramel malts and mild spice notes. Flavor of caramel malts, ripe fruits, resiny hops, some toffee and hay. Decent.

Bottle 0,50L. Clear copper colour with one finger of beige head. This beer has aroma of piney hops, grapefruit, raisin, smoke, oak barrels and alcohol. Taste is heavy bitter and so is the aftertaste. It has medium to full body, oily texture, soft carbonation and metallic finish feel. Very good balanced beer.

500ml bottle, bbe end of 2013. Pours a deep dark orange with a small off-white head. Aroma has sweet and fruity notes of figs, plums, caramel and brown sugar. Taste has figs, sweet malt, light marzipan and almonds, earthy notes. Finishes dry with a pleasant bitter bite. Mouthfeel is smooth and crisp with medium carbobation.

Potent grain and pumpernickel aroma with some raisins and ethanol and oranges. Almost clear dark orange under off-white wisps. Grainy flavour that develops into ethanol and then an assertive bitterness. Slightly nutty and oxidized. Light to medium body, moderate carbonation, nutty bitter finish.

aatuu lasiin kuparinruskeana ja kirkkaana, vaahto on parin sormen levyinen ja tasaisesti katoava. Hieman rosoinen haju on pähkinäinen, karamellinen, puinen (kosteaa puuta), keksinen ja tietyllä tapaa mausteinen. Maku on makean pähkinäinen, karamellinen (etenkin jälkimaussa), puinen, keksinen ja hieman mainen. Suutuntuma on melko katkera ja melko täyteläinen. Katkeruus tuntuu jollain tavalla aika ronskilta ja epätasaiselta. Kokonaisuutena Arkadiasta tuotu pullo on melko maistuva, mutta hieman kulmikkaan oloinen vahva britti.

Bottle at the Duke of Wellington, Dunedin. Great yeasty beer. Aromas of caramel and cheese. Taste is sweet and sour, with very long length. Palate is creamy, and full bodied. Amber, with a frothy head.
