Bottle. Pours a clear light amber with a frothy lasting white head, decent lacing. Powerful hop aroma, floral and citrus nots. Taste: quite hoppy, moderate bitterness, notes: floral, citrus. remains steady with the hops as it warms. Medium body. Finishes with a grassy bitterness. This one is all about the hops; lots of flavour but not overpowering on the bitterness. Definitely a tasty brew!

Bottle. Slightly cloudy golden pour with a white head. Sweet aroma with a burst of fresh citrus and tropical fruits, and a very nice subtle spiciness. Flavour is fairly bitter, lots of citrus zest and well-balanced rye spiciness. A touch too much hop bitterness in my opinion, but mostly a great IPA and one of the best rye brews I’ve tried. Nicely done.

Bottle into IPA glass. Pours a slightly hazy golden colour. Aroma is of citrusy hops. Taste is grapefruity with a nice touch from the rye. Delicious beer. -- rated via 'Find A Beer' for Blackberry 10

After trying some other Rye IPAs and not being a huge fan I was a bit worried about this, but as usual Phillips nails it. Spicy malty/rye bite with their signature slightly bitter citrus hops. Yum!

Bottle. Pour is a little hazy, gold, big white head, shit ton of lace. Nose is sweet caramel malt, tropical citrus hop is the main scent. Tastes sweet and awesome grapefruit, surprisingly no that bitter, spicy. Really good.

Pours light straw, light head. Aroma of fruit, pine, citrus. Taste is light citrus, light hops, and is traditional IPA taste, until the rye flavour hits. Interesting, like 2 different beers in one. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Cloudy golden pour with a puffy, white head. Aroma is tropical fruits, sweet malts. An underlying spicy malt palate rides through the finish along with flavours of tropical fruits and citrus. Bitter finish.

UPDATED: DEC 22, 2013 Re-rate - Beer 15 in the Phillips Snowcase - no change to comments or score. On tap at Beer Revolution and in bottle from the Phillips Hop Pack (ratings were similar, a little less punchy on tap than in the bottle). This was a deep coppery brown coloured pour with a mild tan foam that faded to a ring. Nose was mango, mandarin orange. Mild alcohol warmth and carbonation (well disguised at 6.5%) Taste is a mild peppery smokiness from the rye grain, mild toffee and caramel malt sweetness, but a boatload of hop punches, citrusy, grassy. Finishes smooth, nice bitterness.

Strong mango, candy aroma. Bitter grapefruit, then cotton candy, bittersweet finish. Quite fruity and hoppy, but feels a bit unbalanced and overly sweet.
