4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
A black beer with a big, dense and beautiful brown head. Aroma is interesting, typical roastiness, liquirice and chocolate, also some sweet fruityness. Taste is strongly liquirice, roastiness, coffee, chocolate, medium sweetness and fruits, surprisingly fresh taste, maybe belgian yeast gives that fresh fruityness. Full bodied, but not heavy, velvety smooth to drink. Very enjoyable and balanced beer, great flavours served with velvety package.

Bottle @ Too many Geuze’s - only one toilet , Ulfborg 2012. Black with a beautiful dense, lacing brown head. Toated malt, coffee, nuts, dried fruit chocolate aromas and flavors. Full body. Enjoyable and well balanced, though not complex enough to be world class.

Good but probably my least favorite of the Yeti clan. Nice roasted malty aroma but with a Belgian yeast tinge. Great dark color with a sustainable tan head. Full and oily palate with higher carbonation than expected. Roasted malt flavors but with the fruit esters and Belgian yeast as described. I’m not sure the flavors complemented each other all that well. Having said that, still an above average imperial stout.

My Bottom Line:
Gorgeous chocolate flavors are surrounded by roast and a citrusy touch in this most personable Imperial Stout.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam sits atop the blackness.
-The light acidity in the finish works well with the chocolate notes.
-This is not as corpulent as the regular Yeti.
-Mouthfeel is fluffy, nicely carbonated, which turns the flavor profile to a chocolate mousse.

Bottle at home (650 ml). Dark brown to black with a tan head. Aroma of yeast and chocolate with roasted malts and some alcohol. Creamy, chocolate, roasted coffee, yeast, and a warming, full after taste. Great beer, hope to meet the other Yetis as well.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 19/20
Black with a small head. Aroma is dark chocolate and a bit fruity. Very rich nose. Flavor is big chocolate and roasted malt. Notes of dark fruit and a bit of spice. A touch on the sweet side, it gets a bit cloying after awhile but those first few sips are impressive.
