Pours a dark black with a mocka colored head. Aroma is super malty smelling with loads of chocolate malts and roasted malts. Raspberry? Taste is thick on the palette with an abundance of sweet cloying malts. Seconds latter rich roasted malts and some bright hops come into play. Overall good but nothing really stands

Bottle. Black pour, mocha head. Thick and oily. Strong chocolate and roasted notes, hints of yeast, coffee. Wonderful variation with a great balance between the Yeti source and the yeast.

Strong coffee like aroma. Very dark appearance with medium tan head. Very sweet taste with semi bitter finish. Pretty smooth for a big beer. Very nice Yeti variation as usual.

Abio (1132) - Waasland, BELGIUM - MAY 17, 2012
Black beer. A nice big head that holds good, sticks nice to the glass. Good hippy, malts, chocolate, and a decent amount of spices. Something inside that makes it a bit less pleasant. Good biterness.

TET (786) - FINLAND - MAY 17, 2012
A black beer with a big, dense and beautiful brown head. Aroma is interesting, typical roastiness, liquirice and chocolate, also some sweet fruityness. Taste is strongly liquirice, roastiness, coffee, chocolate, medium sweetness and fruits, surprisingly fresh taste, maybe belgian yeast gives that fresh fruityness. Full bodied, but not heavy, velvety smooth to drink. Very enjoyable and balanced beer, great flavours served with velvety package.

Hmmm...don’t know what I expected here or what I think. Nose is a hot with some dark fruit (fig/prunes). Very dark roasted coffee on the finish..even more than the Espresso version. Bit thin mouthfeel for a Yeti. This just doesn’t come through for me, feels a bit disjointed (drank after 10 months of cellaring). Definitely my least favorite of the Yetis. Should drop it from the lineup and extend the availability of the others.
