COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Creamy and full-bodied, with a complex character from generous amounts of roasted, toasted, and caramel malts. For those who demand flavor, this is the perfect libation. Bronze Medal winner 2003 GABF, Gold Medal winner 2005 GABF.

Pours a dark brown/black with a dense head. Nice aroma of creamy malt and hops. Full bodied with a nice roasty taste and a nice smooth taste. Very smooth and tasty for the size of it. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

trade with bittermestupid. This is pretty much setting the standard for imperial stouts. Pours a rich darkness, almost black, but not quite, with a nice head. Tastes the roasted and toasted malts for sure, with some chocolate and coffee. Wish I would have tasted this sooner.

Outstanding beer. One of my favorites. Creamy and full-bodied. Aroma of toasted malt and coffee.

Bottle. Solid! A toasty malt, coffee explosion, aroma compliments a rich, black appearance with little head and impressive lacing (for a stout). The taste is a straight coffee with a pleasantly bitter aftertaste, and the full bodied palate isn’t oppressive. This beer is like a good band, each element compliments the other to form a solid unit.

Excellent beer from the great state of Ohio....typical imperial stout appearance, with little head and carbonation. Taste of roasted malts and a slight hoppiness. Great stout, highly recommended.

Bottle, as pictured, from 2008. Because its so old, much of the carbonation is gone. Smells and tastes very strongly of chocolate, very smooth with much of the carbonation gone. Has legs at this point, so to speak.

From a bottle, pours black with light brown head. smokey to smell and taste, roasted coffee and caramel flavors are nice. Very strong and the alcohol kick is a little overpowering. A good stout. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
