COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle conditioned.
Speedway Stout is a HUGE Imperial Stout, with pounds and pounds of coffee added during conditioning for a little extra kick! This is a limited-edition Formula and it'll definitely get you racing! It is available in 750 ml. champagne bottles. Appearance: Jet Black, with a toast-brown head. Flavor: Starts with a strong coffee and dark chocolate sensation, then fades to a multitude of toasty, roasty and caramelly flavors. Finishes with a nice fullness but dry enough not to be cloying. Aroma: COFFEE! And some other stuff. And coffee. Mouthfeel (body/texture): Velvety smooth texture. Clean and crisp, full-bodied. Warmth from the high alcohol content lightens up the feel a bit. Still, you won't fool your taste buds -- this beer is HUGE!

8 oz draft. Pitch black with a nice brown head almost like crema on espresso. Aroma is strong coffee with an alcoholic heat. Taste is coffee and roasted malts with a warming boozy note. Aggressive stout.

Bottle @ RBBWG thanks to Klaas. Black coloured beer with a rather small brown head. Heavy alcoholic roasted malty and coffee hinted aroma. Full palate. Finish is roasted malty again rather alcoholic wharming with some creamy coffee roasted hints. Very nice one.

Très fumé, rôti, chocolaté, fruité avec une finale de café et de feuilles de tabac. Tapisse bien la bouche mais se boit quand même facilement pour sa grosseur.

UPDATED: FEB 10, 2012 Cellared 9 months. Gorgeous black pour, a thumbs worth of khaki head that laced in large gobs all the way down. Aroma of coffee, dark chocolate, roasted malt, dark caramel toffee, Very slight hint of cream. Liquid heaven - High-quality imported coffee and milk with dark chocolate, molasses, roasted malt, slight hint of vanilla. Lovely lingering espresso aftertaste and not a hint of alcohol to be detected. Thick creamy mouthfeel, slight sourness. Worth every penny of the 16 bucks i paid for it in the fall.

750 ml bottle sampled @ RBWG 2012 – thx to Klaas – dark, dark, dark black with a mocha head, smell is lots of chocolate & coffee, slight roasted malts & booze, taste continuous in line, slight molasses sweetness, lots of cocoa, chocolate, coffee, touch roasted malts, hint espresso, aftertaste is bitter part hops with a touch of roasted malts & coffee bitterness, alcoholic in the aftertaste but not harshly, full, nicely creamy with low carb, slick

Do not try to drink one of these 750s by yourself. Bad idea. This beer is beyond massive. It pours pitch freaking black with a thick brown head, textbook. Aroma is COFFEE!!!!! and some bitter chocolate. Taste is COFFEE!!! But it’s really good, complex, acidic coffee. Then the smooth chocolatey notes come in and the massive body of the beer is revealed. Then it finishes with more light roasted coffee notes. Excellent imperial stout. But I prefer them barrel aged when they’re this strong.
