COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
So called because of the immediate ruinous effect on your palate. 100+ IBUs. Bracingly bitter. Thick, pungent hop aroma. We would say that no hops were injured in the brewing of this beer, but that would be a massive lie. In fact, the words "Stone Ruination IPA" are what older hop vines use to cause little hop vines to quiver with fright and lose sleep at night . We at Stone honor the brutal massacre of countless hops with this "Liquid poem to the glory of the hop!" Paganism at its best!

Orange cloudy pour with a 2 fiinger head with good lacing in a tulip.Aroma of herbal /grass /spice.Yeah, this is pretty bitter besides the hop taste you get a little bit of orange and caramel sweetness very shortlived while bombarded by the full on hop assault grassy piney herbal spice/peppery, with a bit of citrus some toasted roast malt taste with the bitterness also.

Bottle - pours golden yellow with a medium white head. Some good carbonation and lacing after the pour. Has a nice aroma of hops and a slight grapefruit bitter finish. Excellent.

Bottle. Pours a very slight hazy dull orange. White head that almost completely disappears apart from thin ring of lacing around the edge. Aroma is pine, grapefruit, candied sugar. Palette is immediately hit by bitterness and big tropical fruits, grapefruit, pineapple, citrus pith, bitterness spreads across whole of tongue unlike a lot of IPAs that just hits edges or at the front/back. Finishes with a sustained dry bitter punch, sweet candied sugar, slight alcohol kick, otherwise alcohol is mainly hidden by intense flavours. Couldn’t want much more from this, pretty much one of the best IPAs I’ve had

Bottle shared @ Ölrepubliken. Pours hazy reddish yellow with a fluffy with head that leaves some trace on the glass while dissipating. Smell is fresh and hoppy with grapefruit, lemon peal, peaches, caramel, apricots, plums, pine, wood and grass. Taste is malty sweet and bitter with caramel, pine, grapefruit, grass and plums. Mouthfeel is medium bodied (on the thin side). Finish is slightly sweet and quite bitter with lots of citrus.

Wow What a perfect IPA. Poured into a pint glass. Beautiful aroma of hops. Full refreshing taste. Not as bitter as I was expecting. A truly exceptional IPA.

Aroma is hoppy citrus with a bit of stickiness to it as well as some caramel malt notes. Taste is more of the hoppy citrus with quite a bit of grapefruity bitterness. Very refreshing. Contrary to what the description says, I feel that this beer did not "ruin" the palate at all. In fact, I felt that this was one of the most well-rounded IPAs I have ever tasted, with a nice caramel-like malt aftertaste. This was, however, at a cask tasting so the batch may have been slightly varied.

Bottle at Bishops Arms, Bellmansgatan, February 2012. Orange with a medium fluffy head. Aroma of pine and citrus, on the sweet side. The taste was hoppy with a good bitterness. Very drinkable and rather balanced. A nice DIPA.
