UPDATED: NOV 13, 2012 Aroma: Stunning, powerful aroma of pineapple, lemon, passionfruit and mango, with subtle grassy, resin and biscuit notes. Slight soapy hint. I can’t wait to taste this.

Appearance: Slightly hazy, golden body with a large, fluffy white head that holds reasonably well. Fairly large yeast particles floating around once the full bottle is poured. Lively carbonation. Lots of sticky lacing.

Taste: Lovely juicy tropical fruit flavours. Very hoppy and refreshing - I love the Citra hop and this showcases it perfectly. Not a great deal of malt character, but who cares? This is amazing. Light, bitter finish and barely a hint of its 6.0% ABV.

Palate: Medium body with a sleek, oily texture. Nice carbonation fizz.

Overall: Wow, wow, wow! An utterly brilliant beer - probably the best I have ever tasted. I have literally gone and ordered 10 bottles of it online on the basis on this tasting. I will definitely be seeking this out on cask. For me, it is a stronger, hoppier version of the (also amazing) Jarl by Fyne Ales.

Cold bottle. Smell is understated tropical fruits, big white enduring head, orange with lots of bubbles. Grapefruit to start, with a smokey lager finish. Biscuity. Not bad.

Pours amber with a quickly fading head. Nose shows floral hops, orange and marmalade, soft light malt and earthy hops. Very floral flavours, big distinct lavender notes. Crazily prominent lavender! Also some clean malt followed by an assertive bitterness. A bit astringent. Body feels thick.

Appearance is kinda gross - rich urine colour. Aroma is mild fruit; citrusy sweetness. Taste is mild hops, fruit and bitterness. Very well balanced. Finish is best thing about it - clean with a mild bite and sweetness. Very good IPA.

Bottle from Mane Liquor. Pours bright yellow with a thick, white head which sits atop and lasts the duration. Nose is sweet citric hoppage, caramel, grapefruit. Quite easy going and balanced. Taste is much the same. Superb balance. Good stuff

Bottle from Beers of Europe, King’s Lynn
Hazy deep blond color with medium sized head. Wonderful aroma, full of citrusy hops and with a typical English, earthy touch, and sweat. The mouthfeel is very lean, and dry; elegant toffee flavor, light; strong bitterness, expected, with citrusy notes, orange peel, and light papery end; long final. No caramel and no residual sweetness. The hopping seems more complex than just Citra, maybe because of the yeast.
Excellent American IPA, very clean but still with a British touch.

This it a nice strong pale ale with a more subtle aroma than citra. There is a still an evident smell of fruit with this beer and the taste has become more intense with age, things do get better with age! This beer is clear and has a thin white head which lasts longer than Citra. A really nice beer!

Bottle. Pours a golden straw colour with small white head. Disappears pretty quickly to nothing. Light citrus hops and not much else in the aromas. Flavours show some sweet caramel up front before a light resiny hop finish. OK but nothing to make it stand out.

Gravity dispense at Merton Winter BF ’13. Clear light golden with a medium sized bubbly white head. Nose is fresh hops, grapefruit, mango, pine, lemons, apricot jam. Taste comprises grapefruit, pine, orange, hops, light mineral notes, grass. Medium body with moderate carbonation, bitterness in the finish. Great fresh tasting IPA - had sunk a few pints of this in the past and had been looking forward to catching up on this particular one for the rate !

Cask at The Anderson. Light yellow body, lively, bubbly head. Super bubblegum taste - very nice indeed.
