COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In Jewish tradition, 15 marks major commemorations: Passover (the Exodus), Sukkot (40 years of wandering), and Tu Bishvat (the New Year for Mother Nature) all start on the 15th day of the Hebrew month. 15 suggests a certain wisdom from experience: “Old is always 15 years from now.” – Bill Cosby. “We are always more anxious to be distinguished for one talent we do not possess than 15 we do.” – Mark Twain. After Andy Warhol, does 15 forever sound profound or frivolous? “In the future, everyone will be world famous for 15 minutes.” “Fame is the thirst of youth.” – Lord Byron. “The fact that my 15 minutes of fame has been extended is somewhat surprising to me and completely baffling to my wife.” – Barack Obama. For Matt EP: Hall of Famer Bart Starr rocked #15 as MVP in the Packers’ first two Super Bowl victories. “South Park” evolved from “Jesus vs. Santa” and is now entering its 15th season. “We’re rehabbed and ready for our 15 minutes of shame.” – Marilyn Manson. Lyrics from Barry Manilow’s 2011 album, 15 Minutes, released on QVC Network: “Make me a deal, I’ll sell my guts for glory.” “Fame and power are the objects of all men. Even their partial fruition is gained by very few, and that at the expense of social pleasure, health, conscience, life.” – Benjamin Disraeli. After 1,972,350 sets of 15 minutes of Shmaltz Brewing, I’ll hoist my Jewbelation Quinceañera and sing 15 rounds of ¡Viva la Evolución de He’brew! L’Chaim! Jeremy Cowan, proprietor

Pours as dark as night with a decent slight caramel colored head. Smells like a stout, malts, chocolate. Mouthfeel is super smooth with no hint of alcohol. Tastes of malt, vanilla, some fruityness. Outstanding.

Dark brown color with thin layer of tan head. Malty bready aroma with raisins and a noticeable kick. Super malty and complex. The flavor profile continues to grow while sitting on your tongue. We’ve got some candy sugar, toffee, molasses, grape soda and vanilla. Finish feels as off this has been barrel aged with its woody esters. A fantastic and unique strong ale.

Bottle. I’ve resisted rating this for a while. I’ve had it on three occasions now, and I think I’m ready. It’s a bit tough because I love these big brews from these guys so much, and this one had some big shoes to fill (Jewb 13 still haunts my dreams...). Dark brown with rich golden brown highlights. Aroma is sweet, very sweet. Thickly malty, but also very treacley sweet, with amped-up burnt sugars, breadcrusts, dates, sultanas. Not nearly the barrel character or hop presence found in some of its predecessors. Warmth that borders on heat in the finish. Still very nice for such a behemoth, but not my favourite in this wonderful series. Perhaps more than any from previous years, I feel this will become something gret after a few years. Glad I grabbed a bunch.

Pours dark brown with a 1 finger, chunky mocha head. Aroma is very strong, lots of burnt sugar, caramel and toffee notes in there, big dark fruit, roast, lots of malt sweetness, wood, boozy rum, spice, resinous and citrus hops. Very complex and extremly intense aroma-wise. Flavor is again big on caramel, burnt sugar and toffee notes, lots of spice, rum, chocolate, dark fruit, licorice, sweet bran muffin tops, more rum, some vinous notes and some earthy, spicy and citrus hops to the finish. Palate is medium to heavy, lightly carbonated and chewy throughout, without being too stick on the lips. Really nice winter warmer, pleasantly boozy and quite complex.

Brown, almost black, thin tan head. Aroma of dark fruit, molasses, wood, alcohol, tobacco, too much to describe. Taste is the same, lots of sweetness, bitter woodiness, alcohol. Pretty good, just kind of insane.

I’ma gonna die. Killed a Bad Bunny bomber. Now for the real deal. Bomber from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours dark brown black with a creamy/fizzy tan head. Aroma is dates, raisins, prunes and arguably treacle and turbinado sugar. Full bodied. More than. There’s a touch of heat, but considering 15% it’s not important. I think the main flavor components are treacle and dried plum. It’s hard to find malt in this. It’s arguably a sugar bomb, but I’m sure it’s all dark, good and fairly natural. So it finishes sweet, but there’s so much flavor that’s not objectionable. Woosh! Quite a complex thingy here.
