5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
The perfect Pumpkin beer, and easily one of the tastiest overall beers I have ever had. All the extra flavors (pumpkin, cacao, cinnamon) taste rich and natural. The Porter aspect of the beer is excellent, rough, tough, heavy, and ready. Single Batch only, so get it while you still can!

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Deep dark brown with a faint ruby highlight around the edge of the glass with a wee tight foamy light beige head. Lovely roasty sweet aroma with pumpkin spice and cinnamon and sugar dark malts. Maybe a touch of coffee as well. The flavor is nice and dark with a nice earthy sweet touch. There’s a subtle pumpkin spice note alongside some dark toast and black roast malt. Not shabby. Finishes with a bit of pumpkin.

3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
From a bottle into a goblet. The pour is a dark red brown with a white minimum white head. There’s a lot of spice to this beer which kinda is overpowering but the backbone, chocolate and roast malt flavors make this still a good beer.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Poured from a bottle into an ale glass. Aroma of pumpkin, roasted malt, chocolate and a little nutmeg. Pours very dark and thick, almost no light can pass through. Thick head with small bubbles, tan colored. Starts malty sweet, then finishes with bitterness from hops. Medium body, modest carbonation, some alcohol. Liked it.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Pours a near black color with a moderate tan head on there. Nose is filled with a lot of pumpkin and chocolate, with some roasting, and relatively little amounts of spice; only a bit of clove comes through for me. Taste is pretty sweet with a lot of pumpkin at first, but a fair bit of roasting and chocolate (and just a hint of bitterness), too. Solid brew.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Very spice forward, with some sweeter caramelized pumpkin, light bittersweet chocolate, roasty finish,. Good but needs a little more body and I’d dial back the spice a bit.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
"This is a beer that was nice enough, but given how much I generally like strong porters, pumpkin, chocolate and Oakshire brews, a little disappointing. Everything about it was pleasant enough, it’s just that the spices really drowned out the majority of the porter character, which wasn’t all that "imperial" if still nice. And the chocolate really took a back seat. A little more robust and balanced, this could be great. As it is, still pretty good, but not an $8 beer."

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Shared with Strykzone on Facebook Chat. . This pours dark brown, nearly black, that raised a robust tan head and thick lacing rings. Nose is roasted malts, chocolate, nutmeg, and cinnamon. Oh, yes, and hint of pumpkin. Medium in body. Mouthfeel has some bite. The flavor is chocolate and coffee, with a lot of spices, including nutmeg, cinnamon and ginger. Not much pumpkin. The finish is bitter and spicy. A pretty darn interesting beer.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bomber from Hayduke that we had together via facebook chat. This pours quite dark and has a nice tan head that leaves cool lacing that stays put. An aroma that offers big pumpkin along with cinnamon, nutmeg, and coffee. The flavor begins with coffee and cocoa and the feel is powdery. Spices emerge that are cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger. Pumpkin is there but, interestingly, it is nowhere nearly as prominent as in the aroma. later some hops are tasted and they add bitterness and sulfur. The final sip brought some brown sugar. I did not fall in love with this beer and, frankly, it was a little too much for me. However, I did love the complexity. And in general, the pumpkin worked well in a big porter.
