Aromas are pine, citrus, sweet malt. Flavors are grapefruit, pine, medium bitterness, bit of malty sweetness. Overall a very smooth flavorful beer.

Pours rosy copper. Aroma is very sweet fruit salad. Flavor is crisp and light and really highlights the hops grown in easily the most interesting hop nation in the world. Keep it up NZ!

a bit of an improvement to the original apa i think, has the same hop punch and some of the citrus but the fruit is a little more complex with tropical stuff too and there’s a lovely back sweetness that rounds out the malt base nicely. good stuff.

Pours a rich orange amber color with a frothy two finger white foam. The nose is pretty dull lots of mottled malts, touch of cardboard, citrus and grass. The palate shows a bit more hop presence and the mouthfeel is nice and full with flavors that match the nose. Nice bitterness that really cleans up the finish. Not a bad beer but not worth the price tag that the long journey to the states requires.

Had on tap - guessing this is what I had. Bubbly head. Fruity (curranty, slightly earthy) aroma and amber colour. Soft body, lots of bitterness, rich citrusy hop character with light caramelly malts.

Kind of a play-off between the dank/grassy and the citrus/floral. Unfortunately it was a bit of a one-sided match, with the dank easily over-powering the more delicate citrus, although the citrus fought well. Maybe it was designed that way, but if you’re going to tempt me with such alluring aromas, I’d like to taste them before they are bludgeoned into the forest floor.

Larg bit-her-ness, karmaeml, wite peppur, lemin, graypfruit, meluns, suweeet oringe, stuph. KNot kwite meedeeum bawdeed, lawng finushing bight. Hilee injoiable. Bottle from mane liquor. review from last year. pours a deep amber with a nice off white head. nose is mainly pine hops and grapefruit. these flavours dont quite come through in the taste...massive malt backing. large bitterness too. not as nice as i would of liked
