Growler. Whoa! Light amber ale. Fukn’ reeks of schticky hops. Nose is extract herbal, heavy; borderline medicinal. Burning, bubbly, coating tongue of pine, citrus, haze, and cleaning products. Malts balanced well. Still Huge. Bitter + Alcoholic

Draft at Rattle ’n Hum, NYC. Deep hazy range, heavy look. Big grapefruit, big resiny hops. Juicy finish, nothing too bitter here, or particularly distinctive. Quite nice DIPA.

Draft. Strongly hoppy and sweet aroma, piney, citric and fresh, with notes of honey, caramel, pine, grapefruit and orange, along with some herbal, grassy tones in the background. Hazy light-medium copper color with a fine, fading head. Flavor profile is similarly quite sweet and heavily hopped, with plenty of toasty, sweet malts, more caramel, honey and nut, with copious amounts of citric, dank, resinous and piney hops, some tropical fruit, spiciness and herbal tinges as well, finishing with a huge blast of hop bitterness and resin. Slick, smooth, warming mouthfeel, some alcohol noted here, body is huge. Very flavorful and even a bit imposing. Not much in the way of subtlety here, which I guess is why this is a "Triple IPA".

On tap at Sam’s, Durham. Seems like every week the local is getting another killer tap-only beer from Cali, many of which are from this fine brewery. Hefty reddish pour, vaguely cloudy with a thick creamy head. Strong malts in the nose but mostly a big dose of grapefruit, resin, and pine. Fresh and potent. More sweetness to taste, but not overly sugary; rather it’s like an added dimension of the abundant fruit that is the beer’s main profile. Enjoyable.

Very sweet with a strong tropical and citrus hop flavor. Has a really nice smooth body and full mouthfeel. Very good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This poured a somewhat hazy bright orange color with a beige head. Aroma was of lots of citrus hops, light tropical notes, some dust malt too. Flavor was overly sweet, caramel, fruity stale hops. Somewhat of a disappointment.

Awesome well balanced dipa. Clean 10 percenter. Big hoppy nose, resiny but clean throughout. Mellow finish. Not boozy. Similar idea to Ballast Point’s Dorado and just as successful i think.
