COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Armand’4 Winter Oude Geuze is a blend of 1, 2 and 3 year old Lambic, brewed, aged, blended and bottled by Armand Debelder. This one-time and possibly the last bottling comes in a fancy Asti Spumante Champagne bottle. Armand only used Challenger hops in this brew. He’s in fact the only lambic-brewer to use Challenger hops to make his Geuze. 60 % malted barley, 40 % wheat, aged hops and water. Each season’s geuze has an unique and different blend.

750 ml bottle. Pours a clear golden copper with a small white head that has good retention and leaves a decent amount of lacing on the glass. The aroma is funky and earthy. There is lemon, apricot, tons of earthy funkiness, and some mushroom. The initial taste has a bit of sweetness and is a bit tart. The taste has some lemon, apricot, and grapefruit, an earthy funkiness, and some mushroom. The finish is earthy with a decent tartness. Medium body. Medium carbonation. This is just another great beer. It isn’t as good as lente, but is still amazing. It could use a touch less sweetness and doesn’t have the amazing fluffy mouthfeel that lente does, but it is still great.

Bottle. Pours a slightly cloudy orange color with a white head. Lemon, oaky, apricot, and a slight metallic note. Medium mouthfeel with nice carbonation. Fruity upfront, sour with a lingering "raw" bitterness to it. Nice tartness.

Tasting of all 4 and this was by far my least favorite. Relatively malty and one dimensional with some heavy oak and lemon vinegar zing. Seems a bit fizzy compared to the others as well.

bottle thanks to collin, least favorite of the 4, very malty guezue, some other fruit type flavors, some herbs but nothing like zomer and herfest.

Bottle that Andy shared with me, Max, and Pearl prior to us going up to Hill for their Anniversary. Pours a hazed amber with a medium to large white to beige head. Huge dirty musk, a good amount of funk and cheesiness. Medium bodied, a touch sweeter than the nose indicates, but then it dries out quickly before moving to a little tartness and acidity with more funk. Funkiness into the finish, long wheat and barnyard. Dirty and delicious.

Pours hazy orange with a nice little white head. The nose is lemons, apples, funk, little vinegar with a little straw. The taste is medium high sweet, high sour and low medium bitter with a nice balance sour sweet finish. The texture is crisp and refreshing, the body is light and the finish is long.

Bottle share at blue monk, thank you Swoopjones. Pours a hazy gold with a thin white head. Smells tart and sweet. Apples, some hay, barnyard. Tastes very smooth, tart body with a bitter finish. Less aggressive than the other from this evening.

Bottled. Amber color with rich frothy foam. Dry woody nose with hints of oak, grapefruit and gentle phenols. Flavour is dry woody and grapefruity, with notes of goat cheese, smokey phenols, ripe green apple and oak. High acidity here. Musty mouthfeel. Almost puckering after due to the tannins and the dryness. Really complex.
