COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In a world full of uncertainty, hardship, and people trying to hold us back, do we need the undead and trademark attorneys too? Clown Shoes says, "No, die, monsters, die!" Forces of darkness brought about a change in the name of this beer, which was released to celebrate our second anniversary, but it still sports signature dark malts, holy water, and malt smoked locally with hickory and ash.

Chocolate, smoky, woody, with a hint of hop spice. Thick and chewy. This would be excellent barrel aged.

Bottle at Cotteridge Tasting, Saturday 24th January 2015 Pours black with a beige head, some bonfire toffee. This is quite a pokey beer a little harsh on the end/finish, has it got a little chilli in it? Roasty and bitter, this is very nice, pleasant warmth throughout, some dark chocolate, lovely. 14 month old bomber. Motor oil pour with soapy mocha head. Nose is very rich, bakerís chocolate, roasty malt, smoke, anise and some graham cracker.. Oily texture. Taste is sweet, roasty, licorice, some cherry, lingering smokey finish. This is a nice sticky-lip sipper.

Pours opaque black with three fingers of tan head, excellent retention, heavy chunky lacing. (5/5) Nose is dark chocolate, coffee, boozy cherries. (8/10) Taste is moderate sweet, moderate bitter. (8/10) Full body, low carbonation, off dry and mildly boozy finish. (3/5) A bit of a beast. Fair enough, itís an imperial, but the ABV is still a bit... "emphatic". Wonder if this would have benefited from more time in the cellar, to let the flavours merge and mellow a bit more. Not unpleasant as such, but a bit heavy-handed perhaps. (15/20)

Bottle split with the Wingman at BD CLJ on a Tuesday night, cos we can and we will, 16/12/14. Pitch black with a decent tan covering that retains well. Nose is roast malt, chocolate, raisens, light spice, dark fruit. Taste comprises rich malt notes, chocolate maltesers, earthy charr, toffee fudge, chocolate biscuit, dates, raisens. Full bodied, fine carbonation, light roast and sweet licks in the close with some background hops. Solid Impy.
