4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20 beerbill (2938) - Laurel, USA - JAN 31, 2012
On draught at the Publick House during their release party. Pours a very pretty clear purplish red with a thin pink head. Very pleasant aroma of tart raspberries along with just a bit of funk. The flavor is outstanding and is filled with tart raspberry, malt, oak, and again just a hint of funk. Clean and bright on the palate. The raspberry is incredible, so fruity and fresh. For me, this beer was the star of the release. Wonderful!

Thanks Beerlando! Purplish colour. Very fruity with balanced tartness. Subtle lactic complexity. Quite nice. It has a lot of flavour and some sweetness, but still carries a mellow lambic character as well.

Had via bottle via gf that muled this sucka. Poured into my snifter from SH. Perfectly poured if I do say so myself. Wish I could have posted to YouTube.
A: Nice dark violet with a frothy head.
S: Lot of fruit, with a little tartness. Smells like a winner.
T: It’s a chicken dinner. Perfect mix of sweet and sour. You normally can’t fight the funk, but the fruit sure does. Not a nasty dunk...
M: A little more carbonated than I normally like, but I’ll refrain from saying crisp.
O: If you have a buddy that does not like Lambic, this would change their mind.
4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 Dunt (90) - Illinois, USA - MAY 6, 2012
Opened by Matt for our Sunday tasting. Pours a murky pinkish purple. 1/4’’ worth of effervescent pink head. Nose is full of fresh raspberry aroma, it’s exceptionally bright and tart. Flavor is a little more muted than the nose, still nice and tart though. Mouthfeel is tart, carbonation is moderate, and medium finish. One of the best fruit lambics made in the US, doesn’t have that over the top acetic or lactic sourness. Need to grab another bottle.

Bottle thx to beerlando! Deep rich ruby. Huge bouquet! The house lambik plus the crushed raspberries. Wow this is fun. Ok. Raspberry blackberry clearly. Mold and funk. In a good way of course. Lots if resinous barrel lining. Equal parts pure dry and citric tartness. Balanced, fruity, and refined.

750ml bottle thanks to dsgolovin on BA. Clear deep reddish-purple color with a small pinkish head. Nice intense raspberry aroma with mild funkiness. The flavor is actually really nice, with sharp fresh raspberry and funky tartness. The mouthfeel is nice, acidic but just a tiny bit watery. Reminiscent of Framboise for a Cure. Very good.

Bottle from hbmason...thanks Tim! Pours deep purple with a thin ring of white head. Nose is grape juice, raspberry jam, and a bit of tart, vinegary funkiness. Has some sweetness, but not overly so. Taste has less fruit components, but they’re still there. More berries, light citrus tartness, and a dry, tart finish. Not lots of carbonation--pretty slick and medium-bodied. Has a touch of lambic-like funk, but the fruit is the star here. Glad I drank this one right away, though it’d be fun to stow a bottle away and see how it changes.

Bottle thanks to fredandboboflo! Dark berry colored pour, very little catbonation and a rich dark chewy tart berry aroma. Flavor is also nice jammy berries, tart vibrant fruit. Solid beer, a perfect example of a fruit sour done right!

Bottle. Pours purple with a faint fizzy head. Aroma is raspberries and sourness with an rotten sourness. Taste is sour funky and tart all in the same bottle with blueberries and raspberries mixed in. Taste is all the above with a leather farmhouse flavor showing through. Palate is medium and slick with a lactic dry finish.
