4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20 jesperhammer (2202) - Copenhagen, - OCT 15, 201215-OCT-2012, bottle @home, from Fish & Beer.
Hazy orange with lasting almost white head.
Surprising aroma with tangerine, grape fruit, brett, tartness, fruity hops.
Taste the same. Very fruity - malt and hops, but also very wine-like except for the soft carbonation. Sour, long fruity and sour finish.
Really a surprise. Expected an APA but this is a sour. Fantastic drink.

Share with Bish. Yep, beer, dryish and wet, decent. Hipsters aren’t something to celebrate though are they? Plenty in Gap if you need a pair.

Been looking forward to this one for so long it was a little disappointment. End of night, and the white wine barrelling clearly gives a sour dryness to it which doesn’t quite hit the spot for me. Barrel aging is something I’m not quite comfortable with yet. Still, it was different and definitely worth a punt.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 deekyn (535) - Yosemite, California, USA - MAY 6, 2013
A- murky, turbid straw yellow with weak off white head. S- dank, musty cat piss and funk over load with a strong lemon zest, coriander, yeast, grass and vinegar aroma. Mild laundry detergent. M- smooth and nice carbonation with a moderate palate. T- mild entry that gathers strength with strong notes of lemon-lime, coriander, grass and grapefruit. Grapefruit lingers throughout and comes on strong in the end as well. White grape juice and some oak in the relatively flat middle that mingles with yeast notes. Along with grapefruit, the pleasant ending sees a return of grass and faint lemon and cloves.

Bottle from Brewdog shop. Amber color, white head. Bitter / sour taste with citrus, apricot, hops, white wine aromas and ripe fruits. Sour finish with ripe fruits and orange peels. Very unique take on the american pale ale.

Boy oh boy does this smell sour!! Huge white wine, lichee, kind of hops but the sourness is crushing them. Not sure what to think of the aroma. Hazy orange body that taste so sour it like biting into a fresh cut lemon. The hops are here and bitter but this so dam sour. Something in here reminds me of a good stiff gin and tonic. Possible yeast in this mess but not sure. Don’t know what to think of this.

Interesting take on an american pale ale. This pours a cloudy amber/orange colour with a thin creamy off white covering on top that lasts and a small amount of sediment. Aroma is a bit sour, oak is present, fruity, and some sweet citrus. Kind of a sour fruity aroma i guess well cal hipster. Flavour is sour, dry white wine like, zesty lemon, light sweetness, and a mild bitterness. Overall not a beer i would drink all the time but im glad I drank this crazy hipster idea.

Pours dark golden brown looks like a nice a pale ale. Put simply it smells like an IPA aged in wine barrels...duh. The taste is all wine at first but finishes with a nice hit of hops and some more sourness from the wine. A very interesting beer.

Bottle sample at a tasting at DSG’s place. Thanks Ido. Murky amber with a small white head. Peach, a little pine and flowers in the nose, delicate grapefruit sourness, delicate fizz, medium body and citrusy finish.

330ml bottle pours a hazy orange color with a 2 finger white head that retains well and leaves s few spots of lacing on the glass. Aroma is a bit of funk with some yeast and citrus fruits. Taste is a lemon tartness with a light fruity sweetness and citrus hop bitterness with a dry yeasty finish. Taste is more like a saison than a pale ale, but still a quality brew that is quite pleasant.
