Simtra Triple IPA delivers a punch in the face with its very danky hop aroma derived from Simcoe and Citra hops. You wanted more hops you got them.

This is an imperial IPA that I would love to get my hands on year round. I havent been "wowed" by a DIPA in a long time and this is one of those that brought a great smile to my face.

Was happy for Orion to get this for me and share it with him. I like these hops and had high expectations, which weren’t met, and i think i had a similar let down with a couple other knee deeps. so many fine beers being made. Musky aroma with lemon and caramel, good mouth feel, the carbonation and a little oily. mild finish. flavor of toast, caramel, alcohol.

Another great on from Knee Deep. They knocked it out of the park again. One of those beers where you just open your wallet. Definitely a favorite brewery of ours. Get to the taproom!

Clear dark Amber commie with head that sticks around. Sugary and maple with pine tree at start. Finish is mellow. A bit of a hop bomb for more than one but very good.

Clear golden with a small white head. leaves nice lacing. Pine cone & Ruby Red grapefruit peel, chewy caramel with heaps of hops, bitter finish, slick. For over 11% ABV, easily quaffable. Very tasty! A nice find at the Whole Foods in Kailua Hawaii.

Bottle. Sensoric. Pale golden with medium, white, semi-densed head. Medicore lacing and poor head retention. The aroma is strong and hoppy - citrus, resin and some floral notes. Taste is medium to high bitter, but at first you can feel some malty sweetness. Medium to full body, oily texture, finish is bitter and short. Medium alcohol warming. In general heavily hopped and oily IPA.

Bottle Matt bought back from Portland! Clear orange-amber with thin white head. Smells of moderate spiced malt, heavy hop, citrus peel/pith, some grapefruit, pear and other fruit. Tastes hugely hoppy, bitter, medium malt with a spicy bready kick, light lemon. Body is oily, slick, doughy chewiness. Really big beer that earns its triple IPA title.

HKdIPA (489) - HONG KONG - AUG 11, 2015
Bottle from bottle shop in Portland brought back to HK. Surprisingly clear golden amber pour with minimal glaze of white head. Aroma is sharply hoppy - resin, but more fruit and citrus than the usual super oily/hoppy IIPAs, probably the simcoe and citra hops. Nice. Taste follows - punchy sharp hoppy bitterness, citrus peel, pine resin, and more. Some cereal malts to balance. One of the more drinkable, more tasty very hoppy and oily big IPAs - it's giant but not as impossibly big and oily as others. Would get again.
