4.8 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Poured into a pint glass out of a 22oz bomber.
Pours a slightly hazy medium orange with a half finger white head. Considering the abv, the head retention and lacing are spectacular.
HUGE hit of hops on the nose. Tons of tropical fruit from the Simcoe and Citra hops. There is a touch of caramel underneath along with overripe fruit. There is some dank too. All around, it is one of the best aromas I have ever experienced on a IIPA.
The flavor continues the hops assault with overripe fruit, orange marmalade, and sweet caramel. Mango and orange dominate the fruity aspect and there is a little less dankness compared to the aroma. Vanilla and caramel undertones along with a very assertive bitterness that is necessary to balance out the malt sweetness. Alcohol is nearly completely hidden providing a pleasant warmth in the throat and chest. Quite impressive. Mouthfeel is just slightly sticky.
Overall, one of the best IIPA’s out there. I put this up with Hopslam as being the best IIPA available on the market. Incredible balance and tons of flavor combined with a big punch from the alcohol. A beer to seek out and pick up lots of.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
BOTTLE. Hazy light gold pour with solid foamy white head.. Fresh citrus & grassy hops on the nose, a touch of musk as well.. Good mix of caramel malt & sticky hops start to finish, resiny mouth feel lingers for quite a while yet hides that big ABV extremely well.. Sourced Cellarbrations @ Capel

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Clear copper pour, fluffy white head. Beautiful beer. Aroma is super dank hops: oniony, garlicy, bright citrus, pine, no malts whatsoever. Lovely. Full bodied, mango, citrus, highly drinkable given the ABV. Really good.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bomber sampled at home. Hazy orange with a white head. Smells like caramel, unripe mango, fresh pineapple, lime. The taste is very well balanced, full of fruity and bitter hop flavours. The alcohol is there, a bit in the smell and a bit more in the aftertaste, but still a fair amount less than I expected. Soft mouthfeel and medium bodied with a low carbonation and a hop bitter, alcohol spicy, tropical fruity aftertaste.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle from Belmont Station, Portland
Hazy golden color with compact head. Tropical and citrusy explosion, perfect pale malt canvas, balanced. Lean, with very moderate residual sweetness. When you can conceal bitterness and alcohol so skillfully, the result is a great beer.

3.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bomber. Pours golden with about 1 inch off white head. Aroma is sweet citrus. Taste is sweet, hoppy alcohol. I would call it a high alcohol palate wrecker. I’m not really digging it.
