4.8 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Poured into a pint glass out of a 22oz bomber.
Pours a slightly hazy medium orange with a half finger white head. Considering the abv, the head retention and lacing are spectacular.
HUGE hit of hops on the nose. Tons of tropical fruit from the Simcoe and Citra hops. There is a touch of caramel underneath along with overripe fruit. There is some dank too. All around, it is one of the best aromas I have ever experienced on a IIPA.
The flavor continues the hops assault with overripe fruit, orange marmalade, and sweet caramel. Mango and orange dominate the fruity aspect and there is a little less dankness compared to the aroma. Vanilla and caramel undertones along with a very assertive bitterness that is necessary to balance out the malt sweetness. Alcohol is nearly completely hidden providing a pleasant warmth in the throat and chest. Quite impressive. Mouthfeel is just slightly sticky.
Overall, one of the best IIPA’s out there. I put this up with Hopslam as being the best IIPA available on the market. Incredible balance and tons of flavor combined with a big punch from the alcohol. A beer to seek out and pick up lots of.

3.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Very nice aroma with citrus, pine, and some alcohol. Very bitter flavor with some citrus and heavy alcohol. More bitterness and more alcohol in the finish. I like imperial IPAs, but this was a little over the top and probably could have used a few less ABVs, Still a really good beer though.

4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
Should be called Death by IPA. Got this at the brewery on probably the best flight I've ever had. They pour 4 five ounce doubles and triples if you ask, for $6.
All the knee Deep beers have great lacing and aroma. They are very hop friendly, especially the Simtra.

4.6 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours cloudy orange. Head is thin and filmy in nonic pint. Aroma of bread and HOPS! Fresh squeezed orange and pine. Same taste and big dank backbone. Alcohol taste on finish means business. Pretty good; pretty strong.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Draft. Unclear deep orange amber with a lasting, sticky head. Big hop flavor and aroma as you would expect. Strong bitterness but balanced by enough sweetness. Full body. Alcohol hidden well. Oily and a bit sticky. Surprisingly easy drinking. Its a mouthfull of hops.

2.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Citrus, hoppy bitterness, wet on the palate but dry aftertaste. I won’t to like this IPA but it does nothing will and barley makes the rank of marginal. Citrus, wet, bitter, dry fully summarizes the experience of this beer. Not again

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
You can’t tell the 11% at all. Very strong citrus/pine hops. Bitter finish. Malt to balance, toasty.

4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
On tap at the Perch Pub in Philadelphia. Golden color, decent head and carbonation. Hard to think of another beer of comparable alcohol that hides it so well. Even the high IBUs are well balanced in this really impressive beer.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottled March 2, 2015.
Glass: Tired Hands wine glass.
Appearance: Crystal clear amber body with a beautifully messy white dense head on top.
Aroma: Nice mixture of marijuana, earthy notes, floral notes and a bit of grapefruit and orange. This is a unique combo that I haven’t really come across yet. Booze shows though.
Taste: Not even close to being overly bitter, though not really malty either. This is the lightest 11.25% beer I’ve come across. A tad boozy, toasty malts, bits of earthiness and maltiness by the end, but overall a bit boring.
Palate: Medium bodied, moderately carbonated.
Overall: Drinks way lighter than the ABV and drinks way milder outside of the booziness by the finish. Maybe my palate is a bit soaked up from the mead before but this lacks hugely.
