COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our first run at an American Pale Ale. Flavors and aromas of zesty citrus, passionfruit, and pine present themselves throughout. A very subtle malt sweetness for balance, but this is intended to finish dry.

Bottle at James’ a few months ago. Thanks James. Strange, awesome brass-brown sort of color with pretty big white head and uneven bubbles. Smell/taste are both extremely fresh pine hops. Clean finish with not a lot of aftertaste.

I would love to have tried this fresher, but damn this was still a fine beer and I think the commercial description is apt - citrus, passionfruit and pine note. Dry, with decent malt backbone. Rounded. Lingering bitterness.

6 oz pour from 42 degree tap into mini-sniffer at Churchkey in DC. Clear as day, orange, moderate foamy white head with decent lacing. Nose has strong fruity notes-- orange and lemon-- with some malts and pine mixed in there. Light bodied and smooth, fairly thin, dry finish. Taste is not very forward. Citrus up front with a gentle malty backbone. I’d prefer a bit more substance or a bit less alcohol, but definitely not a bad choice.

Bel odeur de pamplemousse et mandarine. Goût un peu sec, légèrement fruité mais manque de saveur. Belle amertume. Une bonne bière de soif

Golden pour with lasting white head. Pretty. Aromas of fruit and pine are prevalent. Same comes through in delicious flavor, never tending too bitter. Very balanced, but slightly too much carbonation for my liking. Otherwise top-notch.

Bottle. Pours a hazy orange with a white head. Aroma of grapefruit, pine, orange, melon, mango. Similar flavours, long bitter finish with pineapple, mango and orange coming through. Oily mouthfeel, medium carbonation.

The piniest of the Maine beers I had. Still sense grass. Pours super clear golden with some white head. Aroma is hops. Super dry. Light bodied.

Type: 500ml (16.9-oz.) bottle Glass: Pint mug From: Eddy’s Beverage Inc. in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. Price: $6.99 Purchased: July 14, 2015 Consumed: July 16, 2015 Misc.: Born on June 30, 2015 Poured a golden, pale, semi-clear color with 4-to-5 fingers of off-white, frothy head. Average amount of bubble streams coming up from the bottom of the glass. Great looking spiderweb layered lacing on the sides of the glass. Good retention. (Sight - 4.25) First thought on the smell was wow. Getting floral, Citra, pine, tropical, tangerine, red grapefruit rind, pineapple, nectarine zest, light mango, sharp apricot and faint peach. Kind of reminded me of Alpine’s Duet. This was great on the nose. (Smell - 4.63) Taste didn’t quite live up to the nose, but very good. Actually reminded me of a session IPA, which I get is pretty close to a pale ale. Got floral, tropical, pineapple, pine, tangerine rind, orange blossom, light passion fruit, sharp grapefruit and juicy apricot. Could almost taste pulp. (Taste - 4.38) Light body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long, fruity finish. (Feel - 4.63) This was fantastic. Not quite as good as an Alpine (not Green Flash) Hoppy Birthday, but pretty damn close. So fresh. (Overall - 4.50) 4.47 99 A

Drank from a solo cup, poured out of bottle, thank you brother Bob. Has a nice peppery aroma. Has a nice sweet, peppery, slightly piney flavor from the hops.
