COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This deep amber ale has rich & roasty malt flavors, a big hoppy character, citrus overtones (courtesy of the hops and our special brewers yeast) and modest alcohol.

Pour is a very dark amber with superb clarity. Head is a cherry-white. Lacing is fair and head remains throughout pretty well. Nose is sticky, with roasted, well balanced malts and pine hops. A Sugar sweet aroma covers over a humidor-esque vintage quality. Taste is a redistribution of the nose, with a bigger malt and hop heavy hitter. Well balanced with a smooth, yet bitter aftertaste. I think this is Stone’s best offering thus far.

pretty good for an amber. not my favorite, but not too far off. a little malt heavy, for Stone at least (not really a bad thing is it?), body is ok, flavor is nice. recommended."

Pours a dark red with a latte - colored sponge foam head. Strong malt aroma. Solid malt taste with an equal amount of hops bittering. Well carbonated with a slightly sticky mouthfeel.

Smell is mild and malty, taste is the same, sorta watery, slightly hoppy and quite carbonated...hops get stronger as it warms

Nose is toffee, red berry, with light pine and citrus. Taste is pine, malt, red berry, slight rye then floral and peppery tones touch of lemon grass and salt in the finish. It’s more ESB than I finished, and the nose and taste don’t marry well for me. It’s OK

Has a really nice malty taste to it. Almost an iced tea flavor. Easy to drink, and very little hops. Bready, bright, crisp without being boring. Very nice Amber ale, When you want malt go here.

Poured from 12 oz bottle a surprisingly colorful pale copper, lots of orange hues with bright golds and rosy reds. Aroma is citrusy and piney, a touch of malt. Flavour is of caramel and malt, but well balanced by the hops. Aftertaste is quite malty as well, which lingers a bit. Overall a decent amber, however not that memorable.

From keg at Brewdog Shoreditch. Pours clear amber brown with off white head. Aroma is malty, citrus, hops, some fruitiness. Taste is light sweet, medium bitter, dry, hoppy, some citrus, bit sour, roasted malt hints. Aftertaste is slightly bitter with medium carbonation. Ok.
