COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
RUINING PALATES SINCE 2002
In June 2012, we celebrated the 10th birthday of our notoriously mega-hopped double IPA, Stone Ruination IPA, with the release of a very special version that was even bigger and, incredibly, even hoppier than the original. If Stone Ruination IPA is ďA Liquid Poem to the Glory of the Hop,Ē then Stone Ruination Tenth Anniversary IPA was an amped-up heavy metal version of that ode delivered with the force of a sledgehammer. Luckily for us, our fans love loud and aggressive brews, specifically when copious amounts of humulus lupulus are involved. The original release of this beer was so instantly beloved by those who dared try it

This is an awesome DIPA. Pours an amber/orange color with a thin off white head, looks syrupy as well. Aroma is quite tropical, mangoes and peaches, cat urine, but in that good ipa way,and a good caramel malt backbone. Taste at first is mostly sweet malt and orange peel, very hoppy upfront but it doesnít linger at first. But as the beer warms the bitterness tends to linger a bit more but the overall taste is still caramel malt and orange.

UPDATED: APR 17, 2015 Presentation: It was poured from a brown bomber bottle into a tulip glass. The label lists the abv at 10.8%. It also had a nice description of the beer. Appearance: The body has a hazy look and an inviting amber color. This is topped with a good thick head. The head is light tan and slowly settles down as I drink. This leaves some lacing on the glass. Smell: Itís aroma is exactly what you want from a Stone IPA. It leads of bright tropical fruit and citrusy hops. It also brings solid sweet maltiness to the nose as well. Taste/Palate: The base is a solid sweet bready maltiness with juicy tropical fruit, mango and grapefruit jumping right out. The finish has a good bitterness slowly fading of the tongue. The palate feels full and the carbonation is active but smooth overall.

A tad overly bitter as compared to the regular version but what the hell, a 10 beer all day long, wish it was year round...

From a bottle. Pours opaque orange amber with a bubbly frothy off white head and lots of lacing. Tastes like sweet caramel, nutty malt, orange citrus, grapefruit hops, and smooth booze. Light/medium body and low carbonation. Smells like caramel, nutty malt, citrus hops, pine hops, and smooth alcohol.

Bottle courtesy of Peter Fowler of Shoulder of Mutton fame, many thanks Peter! consumed at home Wednesday 25th February 2015 Pours light amber with a white head, rather sweet but with a furiously bitter bite, strength apparent. Itís a lovely bittersweet beer, warming, hoppy. sweet, with a syrupy /honey edge. Lovely. A8 A4 T8 P4 Ov16 4.0

Clear medium orange color with a average, open and frothy - fizzy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, moderate to heavy hoppy, pine, spruce, resin, orange - citrus. Flavor is light heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, wood, pine, orange - citrus, hoppy, alcohol. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light alcoholic. A genuine hop bomb. So many different layers of bitterness and aromatics. I literally felt as though Iíd eaten a hop pellet. Thatís not intended as a negative impression. I enjoyed this one very much.

Bottle from Trader Joe's. Everything about this beer is big and intense -- flavors, IBUs, and alcohol. Pours amber with very little head. Smells floral with strong malt tail. Taste matches beautifully. One of my favorites. You don't taste the 10.8 abv, but I felt it when I stood up!

Poured from the bomber into the pint glass, a nice orange ale. Everything about this beer is strong: hops, flavor, alcohol & description. "A stage dive into the mosh pit of hops" is accurate, or one could say "Itís like a beer elbow to the face". Either way the floor seems closer having drunk this, nice job.

Awesome beer! Hoppy as hell but it's a bitter hoppiness. Nice aroma, mouthfeel, all that stuff. I really like this beer but for me it's just not the right hop flavor to be one of the all time greats.

Bomber @ the Tenth Shrewsbury Bottle share, Dec 14. The night was starting to get a bit blurry by this point so no detailed notes Iím afraid. Lots of hoppy goodness as expected from this brewery and I know it went down well with the group.
