"This rich amber beer is brewed with only the finest English ingredients. A prominent hop aroma and bitterness throughout is finely balanced with a full malt flavour, leading to a dry bitter finish."

Lasting frothy head that cings to the inside of the glass. Light brown color, welcoming fragrance of wet mittens and high mountains. Just the right flavor of malt, dried fruit, some resin and grass. Balanced bitterness. Deep lingering aroma that even works on expanding your mind. An english bitter at its best.

0.5 bottle from Pulkovsky Universam, St Petersburg. Classic, old skool bitter - slightly malty, with a very bitter finish. Drank this straight from the fridge, maybe it demands a re-rate at a later date. But this is definitely the sort of beer that I would prefer on tap. Memories of drinking in Barnsley before matches, when Oakwell had a proper atmosphere, and football was a proper sport.

From bottle. Appearance: chestnut with thin white head, not much head retention. Aroma: not much to the nose, slight hint of hops and slightly metallic. Taste: light bitterness, a bit of fruit and toffee at the end. Pallet: light carbonation, decent enough mouthfeel. Very short finish. A good session drink, light and not complex.

Tallboy can at The London lounge in Zhuhai, China, special econmoic zone, prefecture, co, ltd. A clear pouring lightly caramrl colored beer with a wimpy head but great, neigh excellent retention. English bitter all the way. Toffee, bitter hoppy, and the Golding/Fuggles mess, whicg is growing on me quite well.

pintbypint (2381) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - JAN 9, 2014
500ml can. Pours clear, amber coloured. Small whtie cap on top with a very creamy and tight bead. Nose has grain and caramel. Taste has caramel malts and grain. Finishes with mild malt and caramel with a trace of leafy hops. Light bodied with a soft mouthfeel. An undemanding bitter, rather plain, yet oddly satisfying as a quaffer.
