On tap at the Thirsty Monk in Asheville. Rich, nearly black pour with a tan head. Nose of toasted nuts, complex coffee, chocolate, toffee, huge fruits--plums, prunes, raisins. So much going on here. A big, big beer, but not boozy or overwhelming. Palate was lighter than expected for the ABV as well. So tasty.

Wow, very happy I took a gamble on a single 12oz bottle of this tonight for Labor Day celebration. This porter they concocted is sweet, thick, and malty as hell. "Lil" surprised how sweet this is, but damn if I donít like it! ABV is very well masked.

Pours dark black, with a thinning tan head. Raisin and molasses on the nose, chocolate and a warming alcohol flavour. Tastes creamy thick. Luxurious beer

McWorta (578) - LUXEMBOURG - AUG 27, 2014
Pitch black clear colour with a chocolatey coloured rather fast fading head. On the nose aromas of treacle, caramelised dates, bitter chocolate, dark raisin and sweet resin develop. Light mousse and slick texture with sweet treacle flavours with notes of chocolate and coffee bitterness, caramelised figs and dates offer a beautifully harmonic interlude. Full bodied with a long finish lasting well on the whole palate.
