4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20 ToolHead (266) - København, - SEP 10, 201233 cl. bottle. Rated 10.9.2012 - Best by 1.1.2015.
Pours brownish amber red w/ smallish, tan head.
Pitch perfect quad. Westvleteren 12 pitch perfect. Fruity (figs, dates), powerful, dry, bracingly hoppy, superbly balanced, easily drinkable. Very, very Westvleteren-ish.
Could use a tad more carbonation, otherwise perfect in every way.
3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 jgb9348 (4027) - Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA - JUN 13, 2013
Dark brown coloured body with a nice 2 centimetre thick tan head. Aroma of malt, raisins, nuts, earth and a light but nice hop scent. Medium to Full-bodied; Strong raisin and pit fruit flavours at first with a good malt note showing some metal and malt and a subdued caramel and toffee flavour. Aftertaste is quite smooth with not much alcohol showing at all, mostly pit fruits, some apple and pear flavours and a good smokey malt flavour. Overall, a nice and relatively light quad with some nice sweetness and a touch of smokey/peat malt. I sampled this 33 cL bottle purchased from Arrowine in Arlington, Virginia given to me by a hockey teammate after a game (thanks Kev!) and sampled on 12-June-2013.
2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 Imaena (1073) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - JUN 9, 2013
Nose. Grass and pharmaceuticals. Ok so I believe we probably all overpaid for this beer. I do not dispute it is a quad but it has a distinct plastic taste that runs through the saccrine edge. The pour is amber brown. The taste is caramel and burnt ziplock. The palette is medium. Overall pass for this price.

Bottle. The perfect crime must be the trick that allowed this beer to be availible to us. It´s a bad creepy beer :-(
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Palme (2311) - Bergen, NORWAY - JUN 3, 2013
On tap @ Crowbar. A cloudy copper colored one with a small islandy lacing top. The nose is really sweet and fruity. Some berries, caramel, non extreme but nice. Below average on the carbonation and it has a soft oily mouthfeel. Thin fruity and sweet flavors, lots of raisins, some zest before its ending with some warning alcohol in the finish. Quite nice actually, but not fantastic. Grows on you. 01.03.2013

Bottle from The Bottle Shop, Canterbury. Very dark brown colour with a thin beige head. Slightly estery Belgian yeast aroma. Some malt and a touch of glue. Touch of green apple as well. Yes a bit like a quad, but not quite like the Belgian versions. It’s ok, fine.
