Southstar / Kereru Fruits of Jupiter

From the FYO at Regional. Pours very very dark, almost black, with a tan head rising above. There’s roasted nuts - chestnuts, not peanut - rising on the nose, with a rich sweetness of malt and subtle fruit. In the mouth it’s superbly balanced; soft sweetness followed by a nutty round bitterness. It does what it says on the label - a lovely mix of solid earthy nut and subtle, dry red berries. Very very nice. I missed this at Beervana, and glad I got a second chance at it.
