Absolutely loved this. This is really like a slightly less-complex bodied version of Old Rasputin but with a bit more kick, in the body and afterwards. And isnít too thick. Excellent.

Bottle: Pours a near opaque with a thing tan head. Roasted aroma. Some chocolatey and toasted coconut notes. Soft oak in the background. Pretty fluffy texture; less slick than other Imperial Stouts. Flavor is a bit one dimensional. Some cocoa and roast, with an inky finish. Some dull oak notes.

Draught. Pitch black with a fading creamy light beige head. Aroma of dark chocolate, coffee, liquorice, dark fruits, hint of honey. Taste is of rich dark chocolate, bitter coffee notes, some honey on the finish, liquorice, blackcurrant, toffee. Dense creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation.

Tastes very resinous- i.e. woody, black licorice, heavy malts. Has faint traces of walnut, oats, and whispers of bakerís cocoa and roasted coffee. Very impressive for a Stout. Best enjoyed in a chilled chalice glass (different than the Belgian Tulip glass). Toffee or Kettlecorn make good food pairings

Bottle. A- Roasty, chocolate syrup. A- Black color, black liquid, brown head. T- Bitter, roasty, cocoa. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, dry bitter finish. O- Looks and smells good but the flavor is something weird. I canít quite but a finger on it but itís an odd bitterness. Canít imagine this is normal because if so, itís way overrated.

2nd best imperial stout i ve tasted. This is one special beer Its on the sweet side of imperial stouts. Chocolate and caramel are noticed on the first sip. After that the alcohol shows up and from there on it unleashes all the ingredients. For this kind of beer this one goes down very easy

Deep black with a thin brown head. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee, cocoa and vanilla. Smooth and fullbodied in the palate, with strong roasted malts, coffee, vanilla, chocolate, booze. Sweet/bitter, rich and well balanced, sticky and tasty. Gorgeous ale!

Bottle share @ DLD 2016. Pour is black with a very small tan head. Aroma and aroma of roasted coffee grounds, light chocolate, and booze. Finish is similar with pretty much only booze and coffee coming through.
