COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
On a pilgrimage for immortal craft beer we tripped on these heavenly drops of amazingly overwhelming aromas, a thick fudge-like body, pitch black color and obviously only made in limited amount. And then the taste....even more jesus! Produced and bottled by Evil Twin Brewing at Companyia Cervesera del Montseny SLL. Catalunya, Spain.

Pours extremely dark in the glass with almost no head. The aroma has dark cocoa, vanilla, roasted nuts and a touch of wood. The taste has a great balance of sweetness and slight bitterness which provides a smooth balance. There is toffee, raisins and a barrell aged rum that comes through. I also get some oak and vanilla that linger in the finish. Great beer.

botella se separó de su esposa. tiene todos los atributos de "Even More Jesus", pero con un poco más de carne en el sabor. You know I don’t speak Spanish. You ate a whole wheel of cheese and pooped in the fridge. I’m not even mad, I’m impressed.

Bottle acquired via Charleston Beer Exchange...these guys are AWESOME! Usually utilize squid ink as a descriptor but going with Narwhal pour with this one! Small mocha head that dimished to a ring. Not even a bubble on top of this one. Brownie batter, fudge, molasses, ash, charcoal...S’Mores since campfire and marshmallow are present. Vanilla and touch of dark fruit. Chewy chocolate granola. Pretty damn impressive!

A - pours thick oily opaque cola with nearly no super dark chocolate head. S - strong aromas of grains and dark fruits, very barley wine esque. Toasted malts, chalk and vanilla. Quiet chocolate, and mellowed bourbon on the end. M - thick syrupy body, rich dense mf. Lingering sweet espresso bourbon end. T - espresso, toasted malts, charred oak, chocolate up front. Very sweet lightly tangy palate. Raw cacao, toasted malts, sweet sticky buns. Lingering vanilla bourbon with dark fruits. O - quite good bourbony beer. 3.9 ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

11.2oz bottle. Oily black with no head. After warming up the vegetable and slight metallic notes disappear and you get some anise, dark slightly roasted malts, alcohol, molasses, hints of soy. Mild carbonation and full body, bit of ash, alcohol, dark roasted malts, very bitter chocolate (think bakers chocolate), becomes quite dry, with a lingering anise and malt flavour on the palate. Think this would benefit from sitting a little longer to let the booze mellow a bit but still a tasty beer.

Pours wall to wall black. This is a very dark beer. It really only shows brown when there’s just a sip or two left in the glass. Small brown head. Looks big, though TBFA Blackout Porter looked a bit more syrupy. Aroma is dark chocolate, herbal hops, roast, coffee, dark stone fruit, caramel, molasses, caramel. Lots of roasted malt in there. Some booze shows up, but it has its place and fits well. A tiny bit of acetone or something in there - just an odd harsh note. The taste is excellent. This beer is a mouthful of dark chocolate and roasted coffee. It makes me think of super rich, very dark chocolate fudge. Interesting umami-ish note to the beer from all of that roasted malt. A touch of leather and anise. Fairly sweet, but there’s a good dose of bitterness from the roast and some more herbal hoppiness. Evil Twin really nailed the classic imperial stout flavors with this one. Mouthfeel is thick and full. Coats the mouth with roasted malt flavor. Some booze but less than expected. Probably could be a tad thicker, but I’m kinda splitting hairs. A delicious imperial stout. It’s very well-made and ticks all of the right notes for the style. Despite all of that, I sorta preferred the Blackout Porter. This beer is much more of a classic imperial stout, whereas Blackout felt like a unique spin on the style. Both are excellent beers, and Evil Twin deserves a ton of credit for putting out a string of great big stouts/porters (not to mention his other beers).
