I would have never suspected my first 5 would come from a Double IPA, but Ive gotta hand it to the brewers of Jackie-Os. This beer does indeed "fucking rule". Poured on draft a few times at Jackie-Os. Pours a beautifully translucent copper with a creamy, tight nit head of white foam. Great retention, great lacing. The aroma was loaded with tropical fruit notes of papaya, mango, oranges, pineapple...man, thats how a Double IPA ought to smell. The first sip is pure ambrosia. The tropical fruit sweetness balances perfectly with the higher alpha acids of the Citra hops. Is Citra the perfect hop? I think this showcasing of it makes a strong case for it in my book. Finish is sweet and bitter and sticks with you for a couple moments. I really hope this is a beer added to the regular lineup. Im sad I couldnt bring a growler of this home with me.

Clear pale orange with a pale head. Aroma is citrus zest, light dankness, hint of melon. Light bodied, crisp on the palate, well balanced. Taste is citrus zest, melon.

12oz can from the Shell station in Harrison, OH, just west of Cincinnati. Grapefruit, tropical fruit. Big toffee malt base. Sweeter than expected, and finishes quite sweet. Very good! 14.7

Can thanks to James. Pours a clear gold with small white head that lasts. The aroma is strong citrus, mango, must. Medium body, citrus, dank, pine, resin finish, very nice.

Can and a half at home. So apparently this is a single hop series, and unlike the zythos monstrosity (who the hell even knew that was a hop name, and not the name of some ancient deity?), this is delicious. Cloudy gold-ish pour with frothy white head; good retention, nice lacing. Aroma explodes with citra -- lots of dank citrus, grass, tropical fruits and stone ground mustard. Taste is great -- moderately sweet, huge hop flavor, medium bitterness. The kind of beer that invites crushing (which invites regret, because 9%). Medium body, average carbonation, oily texture. Overall: Im impressed. The only thing that I dont like is the $18 / 6-pack price. I probably wont buy another 6er based on the price point, but Im going to enjoy whats left of this one.

First impression in a nice aroma of grapefruit & skunky hops. Grapefruit cuts to the front of the taste, and orange not far behind. The finish is lively, dancing on the tongue for a bit. Very drinkable, mild notes of cereal to the malt; beer wears its abv well.,

In a can. Immediate burst of the piney orange hops. Slightly creamy mouthfeel. The bite lingers long after swallowing. ---Rated via Beer Buddy

Draft at the Tap room. Pours a beautiful orange-apricot with a one finger head and lacing. The aroma is a citrus bomb with some earth and cereal. Taste is also a citrus bomb with cereal, pine, and earth. Medium body, so damn good though. Citrus finish.
