Poured from a 2013 vintage bottle. Aroma has a really nice, strong chocolate aroma with medium light hazelnut notes. Moderate bourbon and light oak with light roast. Some alcohol spice. Pours black with a small, moderately thick mocha head with alright retention as it recedes to the edges where it lingers for a bit before disappearing. No lacing with very long legs. Flavor is fairly sweet with a ton of chocolate and lighter hazelnut character. Lots of bourbon and alcohol notes. Light dark fruit and roast notes. Hints of oak with quite a bit of alcohol in the finish. Lingering chocolate, bourbon, alcohol and light nuts. Mouthfeel is full bodied with medium low carbonation. Low astringency and medium alcohol warmth. Overall, a really nice big stout with a ton of chocolate and bourbon character. Hazelnuts add a nice secondary note and do not overwhelm at all.

At Kickstarter tasting party for the New Humboldt Cider Company tasting room. Pours near black with no head. Nose of chocolate, bourbon, vanilla and hazenuts. A hint of alcohol. Full body and very thick and creamy mouth fell. Flavor is very rich with chocolate, dark fruit, and the hazelnuts. The nuts and alcohol hand on during the finish. Great stuff.

750 ml bottle split 4 ways, 2013 version. Tasted together with the original Black Tuesday. Like it’s brother it pours see through black with no head, some sediment as well. Nose has loads of sweet hazelnuts, vanilla and light bourbon notes. Taste is fairly similar to BT at first but as it warms up there’s it’s more sweet and the toasted nuts come through.

Sample @ home, thanks tiong!
Aroma has strong alcohol tones, some roastiness and sweet cocoa tones. Flavour is sweet with alcohol, cocoa, dark chocolate. Nice slow sipper, better than chocolate rain. Too bad that I am allergic and do not dare to have more.
