Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Nice head with good duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are rich chocolate, coffee, roast malt and hops. Nice and creamy. Wonderful to taste a genuinely great imp stout that is this good without being barrel aged. Awesome!

Bottle. Pours a deep opaque black with a small tan head that has good retention and leaves sticky rings of lace. Aroma of bakers chocolate, roasted malts, coffee and notes of licorice. Flavor was sweet bitter & creamy with roasted malts, mild coffee, dark chocolate, caramel, licorice and had an oily texture with soft carbonation.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft at NHC. Pours a deep brown-black with a brown head. Nose has some sweet molasses and moderate roast. Low hops and malt driven. On tasting, sweet with moderate balancing roast and a big bitterness. Finishes off dry. Good but doesn’t really have much complexity overall.
