Poured a hazy orangish-yellow. Pale at the edges with a nice white foamy head and terrific lacing. The nose was weak at first, but as it warmed and breathed, the phenols of peach and apricot mixed with a yeasty middle. There is also a spicy note that I can’t quiet place. The mouthfeel is rather light and carried by a high but not over done carbonation. The taste reveals the real beauty of this beer. Fresh and fruity, more mustiness, alcoholic, tart through the middle, with a hint of absinthe, a crisp dry finish and a quite strong phenolic astringency and woody, clove and cinnamon lingering after. This is an example of the style that some may equal but none exceed. Excellent.

The cream of the crop! Brilliant head that withstands time. Palate is full with sensations hitting every part of tongue. Aroma is out of this world!

Pale yellow, a bit cloudy beer with a large, light head. Aroma is a bit floral and citrus. Delicious, sweetly fruity taste. Finish is a bit alcoholic but not too much. Palate is average and sparkling.

Very little in the way of aromas. Sweet malt with a little astringent hop flavors. Overall a good triple.

Pours pale yellow with a big fluffy white head. Nose is peppery, ginger, belgian candy and hay. Taste is well balanced bittersweet but sides more on sweet. Mouthfeel is crisp and clean. Medium body and a great long aftertaste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

330ml bottle. Cloudy golden colour with huge firm frothy lacing white head. Yeasty and fruity aroma, banana, spices. Yeasty, spicy and fruity taste. Lacks intensity and complexity relative to most other Trappist beers.

Bottle. Cloudy gold with bubbly head. Yeasty, spicy (pepper?), malty. Thin, almost incomplete body. Smooth texture despite carbonation.

330ml bottle. Bright yellow color. Smwll fizzy white head. Yeast dominates in aroma. Dry, yeasty bitter taste. Fizzy. Not bad.

Bottle 330 ml. Hazy golden/orange beer with a small long lasting white head. Nice lacing. Aroma of citrus (lemon), spices (coriander?) and yeast. Taste is medium sweet with lemon/orange peel, spices and malts notes. Mouthfeel is impressive. Big body with a really nice balance of warming alcohol and bitterness that leave the palate dry. If you search an abbey tripel, it’s exactly what you get here. Perfect example of the style.

Smells a bit funky. Kind of old smelling. Taste is great though. Rich and bold yet smooth. Nice spice. Lemon pepper. Coriander. Dry spice. Delicious. Not sure if it isn’t surpassed by some of the new wave trippels like golden monkey and la fin du monde amongst others. Still a great beer.

In bottiglia.
