4.5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
By far one of my favorite beers, the sweetness of the flavor came as an incredible surprise. The floral hop aroma deceives you into thinking it will be a bitter beer, but it is anything but. With subtle notes of marmalade in the taste, and a cognac liquor finish, this beer is surprisingly delicious.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle of this boozy bad boy from agold. Thanks!
A: Cloudy brown with a creme colored head. Legs. Wish this had a bit more head, but it doesnít detract from the appearance.
N: Dense biscuit, leafiness, caramel and toffee. Rounding of dried pineapple and mango. Red licorce and figs. The dull earth and clay overtones are slightly obnoxious.
T: Brackish bitterness; modicum of sweetness - surprising given how much malt Iím sure is in here.
M: Prickly carbonation; very heavy and dense. Alcohol can shoot through the nose, but itís not murderously heavy either given the ABV.
O: An American barleywine with a heavy licorice overtone. I just canít get past what I assume is the yeast. It dominates the beer in a way I donít believe it should.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a light amber color with a small head that quickly dissipated. Very reminiscent of an American barleywine in aroma and mouthfeel. There is a slight citrus flavor on the front end that is quickly overwhelmed by bitterness and alcohol that comes in like a freight train. Aftertaste is all alcohol and hoppy bitterness that dances around the mouth for minutes. It is a bit overwhelming, but isnít that what the 120 min is all about? Iíve enjoyed. The experience and recommend to any beer geek or hophead.

4.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
Aroma of clementine peel, lemon peel, a touch of savory mild oregano. Appears clear deep orange, frothy white head, lace clings to the glass. So much flavor, but not overwhelming, complex, constantly changing, it starts with a millisecond of oregano bitterness that transforms in sweet honey up front, but about 2 seconds later it gets bitter like an orange peel, but then it fades into a mild vanilla sweetness with a touch of alcohol sweetness and warmth; wow my first 10 in taste ever! Texture a little oily, but fizzy, nice. Overall, this is an amazing beer! Complexity is amazing!

Tap. Bright dark pinkish-orange. Great lacing. Full body. Nose of clementine. Body of bright pine, citrus, floral honey. Super complex. Balanced yet boozey.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a clear amber colour with a small off white head. Aroma is heavy in hops with a lot of fruity notes and a slight caramel malt undertone. Taste is surprisingly sweet with a lingering bitterness that slightly overtakes it in the finish. Full bodied, lively carbonation, and smooth on the palate. Overall a very unique and enjoyable brew.

5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
Quite possibly, one of my most favorite beers ever. I was first turned on to this beer at a yardhouse, where they had this on tap. This was absolutely amazing and a must if you are a hophead.

3.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
This was aged for a little over 1 year in a dark nightstand drawer at room temperature. Any hop aroma or flavor had long since faded. This beer was very very boozy (as expected). It was definitely a very interesting beer and my rating partly reflects the uniqueness/impressiveness of the beer. Itís definitely not an everyday drinker or even an every week or month drinker. But, if you get a chance to snag one of these, donít pass it up.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
On tap at the Black Sheep ale house..orange copper pour with fluffy white head..huge hop aroma, along with resin,pine..bitter,bitter..did I say bitter? Alcohol very present which kinda drowns out the citrus..if it didnít..Itíd be world class.

4.7 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Wanted to age it, wasnít patient enough. Poured into a snifter. Beautiful orange creme/orange gold color, head disappears before you can say "one-twenty." Aroma is sweet, like brown sugar or molasses with citrus notes. Taste is incredible, again sweet yet the alcohol balances it out (tastes more like itís 8% abv than 18). Strong mouthful but not stinging, pleasant. Definitely lived up to the hype.

12oz bottle - pours an orangey gold , fluffy off white head . Big earthy hop aroma , taste is super sugary sweet , followed by earthy , herbal hop . Can't taste the 18% . Tasty and interesting .
