4.7 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours a light cloudy yellow/white, perfect for the style. Aroma is sweet and nice. I expect a great witbier here. Flavor is good, hits you right away with a bit of the coriander and citrus. Oh I quite like this.

Originally rated on 9/7/08. Nice label and name but I found the white rascal rather average and a little below my expectations considering the quality of Averys other products. The body was a slightly hazy yellow with plenty of carbonation that gave it a thick head. Flavor of citrus but it also had odd aftertaste. It was worth trying however i dont believe i would purchase it again

If you know Wheat Ales, it’s pretty hard not to know about Avery’s White Rascal. It’s for a good reason; White Rascal is very tasty. Bread, straw, and light banana from the malt. Some spice and zesty citrus notes, also. Body is light-bodied, soft and slightly creamy. Finish is kind of dry, refreshing. It takes no time at all to chase off one of these.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Aroma of bubble gum, and some spices. Cloudy light straw color with a thick white head....hangs for a bit. Slightly sweet wheat up front. Some gum, a hint of lemon, and some spices. Bitterness balances well with sweetness, earthy with some peppercorn. Slightly chalky mouthfeel. O.k.

Poured out pale blonde. 3ºSRM.
Nose has beery, sweet nose.
Mouthfeel is sudsy. Carbonation is pronounced. There is a yeasty, dusty, phenolic palate. There are wheat flour, raw dough, water biscuit like flavors.
Finish is nondeScript.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Appearance: cloudy straw with a short, short-lived white head, minimal lacing. (3/5) Aroma: banana and clove, bready yeast, orange peel. (6/10) Taste: moderate sweet, mild bitter, light peppery spice. (7/10) Palate: medium-light body, moderate-low carbonation, off-dry lightly spicy finish. (3/5)
A decent, easy-drinking witbier. Pleasantly light, with a little citrus bite in the finish. Not memorable, perhaps, but OK. (13/20)
