COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Formerly Weyerbacher Belgian Triple.
At Weyerbacher we've recreated a Belgian Trippel without limitation. We use premium Pilsener malts, candi-sugar, and yeast strains- all imported from Belgium. To be true to the style, our Trippel is bottle conditioned. This means we add a bit of candi-sugar and yeast just prior to bottling. This imparts a special effervescence to the beer, a creamier carbonation, and also extends the shelf life. The on-going fermentation inside the bottle will change the character of the beer as it ages, and you'll find it becomes dryer with age. You may want to lay down a few bottles for future evaluation. We suggest storing at cellar temperatures -around 55 degrees F- and away from light.

aroma, it pops at me, its very fruity effervescence, color, hazy light hue livey head, taste, at first the belguim yeast comes on in the flora fruitness of this beer, its also crisp and light, good balance in the profile dry champagne on the backend, overall I love the artwork on the bottle, funny, i could see Monks doing this!, nice ale

Light golden body, 1 finger head that dissipates to a thin film. Smells strong of Belgian yeast, wheat and slight spice. Strong taste of Belgian yeast, sweet bananas, honey, very sweet with a little warm spice aftertaste of clove or ginger? Medium body, light carbonation, very smooth. Masks the 9.3 abv very well.

12 ounce bottle, bottle stamp date says 100611 100613. Served in a St. Bernardus chalice, the beer pours a hazy dark gold color with about an inch off-white head that stayed around a while. There’s also a small amount of lacing. Aroma is yeasty, the brew smells like cloves, bananas, bready malt, pears and some green grapes. It tastes like bready malt, yeast, cloves, candy sugar, pears, and bananas. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it’s a bit creamy and is very carbonated. The soft carbonation helps make this easy to drink. I think it’s an OK brew, but there really isn’t anything about this that would make me want to buy it again. With that being said, I do think it’s worth trying.

12 oz bottle. Poured out a cloudy golden yellow, much lighter than expected from a Trippel, moderate white head. The aroma was fairly deep but slightly sour. Mouth feel was down right oily. Taste was cloyingly sweet, bordering on unpleasant. One try was enough for this one.

12oz bottle in pint glass. Pours medium light amber. A very active foamy head of about 1cm dissipates in semi-short order leaving only an outer ring which laces a bit. Aroma is slightly dry Belgian yeasty smell with much fruitiness, fruitiness in a sweet sense not a citrus-y sense. Taste is carbonated and a mild bite on the front end, medium sweet taste without being overtly fruity or malty. Interesting, and tasty. As FishBizkit noted, banana lingers. Possibly the first beer I have really noticed this.

Usual bananas, spice, and bubblegum on the front and a caramel maltiness on the end of the aroma. Sweet with a hint of alcohol and esters. Banana lingers.

On tap. Nose reminds me of acetone flavor not that far off from acetone. It has been on tap for a while here, and now I know why

On tap at McKracken’s in Marietta. Pours a hazy, light orange with a nice, off-white head with good lacing. The aroma is bread, lemons, coriander, and caramel. The flavor is very sweet. The palate is light to medium, lively, and smooth. Overall, this is a well done beer.
