COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Formerly Weyerbacher Belgian Triple.
At Weyerbacher we've recreated a Belgian Trippel without limitation. We use premium Pilsener malts, candi-sugar, and yeast strains- all imported from Belgium. To be true to the style, our Trippel is bottle conditioned. This means we add a bit of candi-sugar and yeast just prior to bottling. This imparts a special effervescence to the beer, a creamier carbonation, and also extends the shelf life. The on-going fermentation inside the bottle will change the character of the beer as it ages, and you'll find it becomes dryer with age. You may want to lay down a few bottles for future evaluation. We suggest storing at cellar temperatures -around 55 degrees F- and away from light.

From a bottle purchased in 2005 or 2006. Sits a maple sugar reddish-brown. Transparent. The aroma is very fruity. It ignites with pineapples, peaches, almonds, vanilla and banana. Flavour has wisps of peaches and almonds. There is a sour tang over a bitter, yeasty base. Alcohol is evident. The aftertaste is a lasting sour tang. My mouth stays slippery, although it threatens to dry out. An imperfect flavour matched with a mouthwatering aroma. This is the most I have enjoyed a beer within my recent memory.

12 ounce bottle. Thanks Andrew. Pours a cloudy orange gold with a nice white head. Aroma of yeast, spices, and fruit. Taste is malt, yeast, spices, fruit, and some alcohol. On the sweet side. Decent.

Pours a cloudy golden amber with a tight white head. Decent amount of lively carbonation streaming up the glass. The aroma is very typical of a Belgian Tripel. Notes of spices, clove, banana, backed up by a nice earthy breadiness and cereal grains. The taste is bright and flavorful. Banana dominated up front with some earthy spice notes. A bit sweet and biscuity in the finish. Medium bodied and very crisp. A well made American Tripel.

Poured into my bruery snifter, Golden in color with a one finger head that lingers. Aroma of bread, citrus and ginger. Taste follows the nose. Sweet bit not too sweet, mouthfeel is average, nothing special here, would take a golden monkey over this anyday.

Hazy gold beer. Soft dry palate with a mild carbonated sting. Sweet aromatic malt - very typically Triple. A little spice and then some aniseed alcohol. Decent Tripel.

Bottle. yellow clear thin head. Strong carbonation. Sweet fruity aroma. Tase and finish are a little unpleasant and off, otherwise a fine choice.

Vintage 2006 consumed on 5/23/09. Pours a cloudy goldish orange with very little head on it. A small sheet on top. Some lacing, but not much. Smells of funk, pineapple, yeast, and lilies. Seriously. Very crisp mouth on this. Time has not mellowed out the carbonation, of which I am surprised. Carbonation level is medium-high. Flavor is full of pear, pineapple, grapes, and finishes with a sort of drying bread-like taste. Wow. This really aged well. I’m sure this is a tamed down version, but I haven’t a recent release to compare it to. I really liked this age. Pretty easy to consume because the alcohol "burn" has worn off...though its presence is known. Very good. Recommend.

Hazy orange pour with white head. Smell of fruit, malt and hops. Yeast, fruit, and malt flavor. Lots of carbonation and pretty thick. The alcohol is highly noticeable...doesn’t take away from the flavor at all.

From bottle. Slight citrus, floral smell. Orange hazy sparkling appearance. Medium sweet taste. LIght body, thin texture with an abrupt citrus aftertaste. Very delicious and refreshing. Would definitely have again.
