The top product from the Rochefort Trappist brewery. Dark color, full and very impressive taste. Strong plum, raisin, and black currant palate, with ascending notes of vinousness and other complexities.

Bottle (330ml from Peckhams, Glasgow):
Lots of depth to it and plenty going on. Starting with some dark fruits, mainly raisin and plum along with a lot of spice and some burnt sugar. There is some alcohol to begin with and some chocolate with a bit of caramel too.
Dark brown colour that has maroon tinges in it and is topped with a bubbly tan head that starts about a thumbs width tall and halves in size where it stays for upwards of a couple of minutes.
Dark fruit and a lot of sweetness; there is dates, plum, raisins and sugar to name but a few. There is also maybe just a slight bit too strong an alcohol burn from it towards the end.
Medium bodied and very smooth indeed with medium to strong carbonation, a lot of spice and great depth with some alcohol but this is hidden well for the most part.

Almost perfect beer, if only it were ever so slightly weaker in the alcohol department it could be classed as unbeatable. It had it all, a great mix of flavours and with plenty going on and a huge alcohol content that was hidden a lot better than I would have imagined.

Corps moyen a élevé. Carbonation moyenne. Pas mon style mais pas désagréble. Je suis sur qu’il existe mieux dans ce style!

11.2 oz bottle served in a shaker- poured a heavily murky darkened to near black brown in color when held to a light source, medium carbonation, 3mm light tan head that was quite bubbly but didn’t fade away into oblivion because of it. Aroma of figs, plums, pears, brown sugar- quite a small sample to pick out because there are more. Hits the mouth with a wide body, malt doesn’t need to be overpowering because various dark fruit sensations with toffee dominate it, middle has a bite of pepper and cumin, finish is slightly drying. Alcohol cannot be noticed at all. Just right for a pick me up!

Rochefort 10 pours dark brown with a red hue. The head is beige and frothy and sustains itself well for 11.3% ABV.
The nose is big and incrediby complex; it includes brown cane sugar, caramel, baked apple, pear, figs, blackcurrant, milk chocolate, biscuit, butterscotch, and bright bubblegum notes and even a hint of fruity ginjoko. The bouquet is not only as dark as you would expect, but is balanced with bright aromas at the same time. Incredible.
On the palate, the muted sugar counterbalance the heavy flavors up front, which include prunes, caramel, and dark bread crust, before the roastiness and bitterness from the hops invigorate the mid-palate. Peppery spiciness and warming alcohol conclude each mouthful with a dry finish, and leaves dark fruits and dark bread behind.
A deeply complex brew.

Pours a rich, chocolaty brown with a vigorous beige head, which dissipates quickly. Aroma of chocolate, toast, plum, licorice, and raisin. In terms of taste, there’s caramel, toast, plum, and chocolate, with a slightly bitter finish and the warming sensation you’d expect of a beer this strong. Full bodied, rich, creamy, and lively carbonation. very nice.

Dark mahogany pour. Beautiful Large thick creamy frothy lasting beige head. Complex malty, yeasty, and dark fruity. Lighter full body. Soft. Luscious and creamy. Pleasant spiciness. Welcomed alcohol warmth. Wonderful balance. One of the benchmarks of what beer can be.

0,33 pullo@Kaisla Hki. Syvän ruskea, samea. Selkeä vaahto. Tuoksu kevyt maltainen, baarin keittiön rasvan haju sotkee oluen aromeja. Maku täyteläisen hedelmäinen, alkoholi tuntuu vahvasti.
