The top product from the Rochefort Trappist brewery. Dark color, full and very impressive taste. Strong plum, raisin, and black currant palate, with ascending notes of vinousness and other complexities.

A - Hazy to the point of being Murky. Dark brown and a very cool yellow and brown when held up to light. S - Molasses, brown sugar, oatmeal raisin cookies, yeast, alcohol, musty grapes, and chocolate malt balls (whoppers, Maltesers) T - Dark fruit, candy sugar, anise, chocolate brandy, roasted caramel malt. Wonderful taste at the back end, dry, yeasty, dark bread with a hint of pepper and some alcohol to warm the soul. Very complex and wonderful from start to finish. M&D - decent Carbonation that tickles the throat, smooth but lighter bodied than I expected. Even with it’s strength I could easily drink more than one and feel great about it.

Poured from a 33 cl bottle. Very hazy brown with lots of sediment and off white head. Has a very good aftertaste. Almost no hint of alcohol. I could drink this all day!

Poured from 33cl bottle [29/01/2019]. Medium dark brown with beige head. Caramel, currant, plum, raisin. Medium body. Well balanced, but probably should’ve aged a bit.

UPDATED: DEC 22, 2014 Een beoordeling van de Rochefort 10. Uitgeschonken in Rochefort bokaal.

Minimal head that is beige. Not overpowering. You can taste the plum and it tastes superb with anything sweet. A favorite of mine.

Quite enjoyed this one. Aroma of dark fruits, little Belgium yeast. Flavour of raisins and figs, pretty surprised on how the 11.3 ABV was disguised.

Pours deep cloudy brown with a thin beige head which dissipates quickly. Aroma of cherries, raisin and wine. Pleasantly carbonated and surprisingly subtle for a beer of this alcohol content. Crisp and rich with flavours of figs, plum, sweet cherry balanced with oak and cocoa. Superb Quad/BDSA.
