3.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20 mweber962000 (73) - USA - FEB 14, 2009
copper pour the taste is mooth and crisp.. this brewer where i live is in a great trifeca of great brewers. i have goose island in chicago (cubs suck), boulevard in kc (royals are non existant), and schlafly in stl (10 rings). but all produce great products. this beer is easily accessible and cheap by most standards. very enjoyable. go cards! they all beat ab and miller its nice to have some good competiotion besides the mass stuff. this beer IS worth it
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Chudwick (561) - Taylor Mill (KY), FRANCE - MAY 23, 2012
12oz bottle from local Kroger - pours Gold with rich off-white head and some lacing. Nose is earthy with whiffs of hay, grass, and flowers. Flavor adds a little caramel and resin. A good balance between sweetness and bitterness though the bitterness wins out in the end. Quite refreshing and above average.

Pours a hazy golden color with a one finger head and great retention. Great lacing throughout the drink. Aroma of piney and citric hops. Taste follows the nose with great balance of malts. This tastes fresh and clean. It tastes like an awesome homebrew and I mean that as a complement. It’s smooth and refreshing, I really like this brew!
3.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 kdm1984 (139) - Missouri, USA - MAY 17, 2012
Gold-yellow, solid head/lacing. Weird grassy, herbal funk aroma - almost flatulent - not appealing (bottled in March and I’m drinking in May, for the record). Tastes much better - what a relief! - sweet, crisp, hoppy, and lingers nicely. Nice mouthfeel. Good pale ale that should rate about 3.5 overall otherwise - just a shame about the bad aroma!

A yellow-orange. This is good. Some fruitiness in it but a pilsener-like dryness to the finish. Not much in the aroma. Very heady; most of any beer so far since my 40-day sabbatical. A creaminess to the head. Overall pretty good. Drier than you’d expect for an APA but good.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 alcaponejunior (146) - Missouri, USA - MAY 13, 2012
In bottles, this offering is a bit different than the cask or on tap version, but all three are equally delicious.
Bottled this beer was a slightly hazy golden color with tinges of amber, lots of thick, lasting head, tons of lacing. Beautiful in the glass.
Smelled of a Colorado pine forest running next to a snow fed brook.
Tasted very hoppy with light pine and sweet citrus qualities.
Felt medium to light in body, tangy, and mildly bitter with a pleasantly lingering aftertaste.
Drinks great. I wish I could find this one regularly, because it’s a good value and good beer all-around.

Guest tap at Obed and Issacs. Decent all around APA leaning towards hops instead of malt. Serving: Tap
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 fidelis83 (1354) - Clinton, Iowa, USA - MAY 1, 2012
Pours a light amber with a 2 finger, creamy, eggshell head that has good retention and leaves a little lacing. Aroma is citrus, resinous and planty hops, limestone, toast, light grass and light fruity yeast notes. Flavor is toast and a little caramel up front, quickly followed by a surprising dose of fresh citrus hops, a little blood orange-ish, some light pine and a little grassy, spicy Noble Hop-like presence to the finish. Palate is light to medium bodied, with an off dry, somewhat creamy entry, moderate strength, fairly sharp carbonation, and dry, crisp and fairly clean finish. Pretty good, nothing to blow my mind, but I could see myself buying a sixer of this once in a while.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 ryanfolty (758) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - APR 24, 2012
Tap at KC Flying Saucer on April 24, 2012. Translucent golden orange with some head and lacing. Aroma was caramel, malt and some hops. Taste similar to aroma. Smooth, thin to medium body and a slight bitter finish. I typically like APAs, but this fell a little short for me.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 ben4321 (2223) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - APR 23, 2012
Location: 12 oz bottle from Norm’s, 4/21/12
Aroma: The nose has some dry hops, grassy and leafy, some light citrus/lemon, and a little caramel
Appearance: Pours a cloudy golden-orange color with a thick fizzy and foamy head and medium lacing
Flavor: The taste is lightly sweet, with some juicy hops, and a mid-plus bitter hop component
Palate: The body of this one is medium, with a fairly soft carbonation, and a somewhat dry finish
Overall Impression:
I thought that this one made for a fairly solid APA. I found this beer to be pretty well-made and fairly drinkable.
