COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
If you have fallen for the IPA style like we have, Big Eye will be a welcome addition to your repertoire. You’ll revel in Big Eye’s bitter, hoppy flavor thanks to the American Columbus and Centennial hops that are used to flavor and dry hop our flagship IPA. We thank our hops every day that the English loved their bitters—or else the IPA style may not have been born to help the beer survive the journey from Cape Hope to India back in the 18th century.

From a 355ml bottle on 15/6/2012. Pours a relatively clear dark golden with a biggish head. Has a lovely, big, hoppy aroma which includes caramel, toffee and citrus fruit. This is beautifully balanced flavour wise, with lots of caramel malt, orange, lemon, peach and masses of marmalade, followed by a big dose of dry, resiny, grapefruity hops. The texture is quite oily. A truly superb IPA.

Couleur dorée avec un col blanc respectable. Aromes d’agrumes, de caramel, de céréales. Complexe interessante...

Bright piney and citrusy aromas, grapefruity. Clear orange, a mostly lasting white head. Dry, flavors of lime, caramel candy, very bitter. Light-medium bodied.

From a can. Looks and smells great. Seems to be sculpins hoppier, more bitter brother. When it comes to IPA's I prefer a little more balance between malt and hops but I can deal. Solid IPA, particularly for the hop heads.

12 oz. bottle from Wilbur’s. Appearance: 2 fingers slightly tan head, golden color, clear, good lacing. Aroma: pine, caramel, light lemon, Palate: medium body, average carbonation, sticky texture, bitter finish. Taste: sweet caramel that transitions well into a piney hoppiness with quite a bit of lemon sweet bitter hops at the end that really round out the beer. Overall, lemon quality is amazing, super smooth, love this beer!

Aroma: piney, malty, slightly more toasty than I would expect of an IPA Appearance: perfect pale amber with white lacy head that lingers throughout the entire experience Taste: slight bitterness upfront with an even more bitter finish, and a slightly acidic finish Mouthfeel: very light bodied, slightly sticky feel Overall it's a good ipa, but I don't get as much grapefruit that is in other reviews. I get the bitterness of a grapefruit, but not the citrus flavors

12oz bottle: no freshness date that I can see

Appearance: Very transparent dark copper body that looks beautiful under a very thick off-white head.

Aroma: I get a very strong orange zest aroma. There’s a bit of a pine aroma in there as well. It smells very fresh.

Taste: I get a light bitter grapefruit flavor, and the aftertaste has a grain flavor.

Mouthfeel: The mouthfeel is off-dry with a good amount of bitterness that doesn’t linger.

Overall: It was a really good IPA. I live on the East Coast and this is a beer brewed in CA, and it tastes very fresh. I am impressed by that. I would buy it again

12 oz bottle with a really cool label. Pours a nice goldenrod color, slight tan head, a bit less lacing than I would expect. Aroma is citrus hops with some floral notes. Flavor is strong bitter hops up front with a slight caramel backside. Body is a bit thinner than I’d expect for a 7% beer. Overall I go for IPAs that are slightly thicker and maltier, but still, this is one hell of a beer.

Alaranjado com boa formação de espuma e persistente. Aromas cítricos e caramelo, doce em calda. Carbonatada e com boa acidez. No paladar cítrico e doce com amargor na medida. Seca a boca no final, mas com vontade de virar o próximo copo.
