COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Real raspberries abound in this chocolate caramel after dinner treat. Aged for a smooth texture and drinkability. This lager beer will handle additional age very well.

bottle through recent trade 2007 bottle opened with a slight hiss. pour has a earthy amber color and basically no head and a still look. aroma has raspberry seeds, odd chocolate, jam sweetness, and toffee. certainly a strange concoction and centered around the raspberry. mouth feel is medium full with a big coating sweetness and basically no carbonation. flavor is rich, berry centered, again the chocolate hits, and caramel. this is like drinking an aged berry tart. there are some burnt toffee flavors that come through as it opens up and this is quite desert like.

Nip bottle thanks to deyholla. Huge raspberry syrup flavor. seedy jam, caramel, and toffee. Really nice raspberry, a sipper for sure. Thick mouthfeel. I am very glad to try this beer finally.

Definately an after dinner sipper...a rich raspberry chocolate alchemy of candy/beer.

Kuhnhenn Raspberry Eisbock pours a deep red violet appearance with little to no head. Rich raspberry syrupy, caramel, toffee, mild chocolate aroma. Rich, somewhat tart, raspberry fruity, caramel, toffee flavor. Honestly, this has a lot of flavor going on but it has burnt, tar-like taste that I don’t particularly care for. This was poured from a 2007 nip bottle.

2007 nip bottle pour into glass is dark reddish brown with thin to almost no off white head. Aroma is raspberries, and more raspberries, into some slight caramel and hints of cocoa, even get some of the tart and earth from the raspberries in there as well. Taste is like sipping a delicious raspberry dessert, some big raspberries like the aroma but much more caramel, toffee, and cocoa in there with a hint of earth, finishing fairly sweet with a nice tart note, no alcohol in there at all. Awesome stuff.

Raspberries, caramel, and chocolate aromas and flavors make this an amazing fruit beer. Sweet, strong and amazing!

2007 nipper bottle. Pours a flat murky red/brown. Very silky smooth and very low carbonation if anything. Aroma is raspberries very strong with vanilla and a unique nuttyness. Taste is caramel, cherry, raspberry, and a vanilla sweetness. Very unique stuff and quite good. I wished for some carbonation to make the flavor a little more lively but still good.

Courtesy of reynolds314. Big sweet flavors, some cherry type flavors over raspberry type flavors. I’m really liking this.
