Growler, thanks again Austin! Nice pour, a shade darker than gold with a fast dissapating white head. Nice lacing too. Aroma reeks of hops. Pine, grapefruit and mixed tropical fruit. A bit of booze on the nose as well. Fairly full sweet and sticky body. Flavor is a balance between sweet malt, bitterness and alcohol. Pine, sweet grapefruit zest, sweet tropical fruits and booze are in the flavor. The sweetness is present thrOugh most of the sip, but the bitterness at the end balances it out. The oak is not very noticeable for me. I like this beer a lot. Its a nice treat every once in a while.

Bottle. First of.... WOW. Pours a hazy orange color with an off white head. Aroma is like a tropical fruit punch bowl, I get tons of mango, pineapple, passion fruit, some peach, grapefruit, orange, tangerine and subtle oak notes. The flavor follows the nose and is super fruity, I get subtle oak notes, the ton of tropical fruit, again sweet mango, papaya, pineapple, passion fruit, peach, grapefruit, orange and tangerine. The body is medium with a dry mouthfeel. Overall one hell of an amazing DIPA! Probably one of the best I have ever had!!!

Huge thanks to my man phredrik for sharing this hoppy monster. Pours hop hazy amber with a creamy beige head - just textbook looking. Aroma is juicy hops, citrus, orange, pineapple, some grassy/herby notes, pine, I ger all the west coasty tropical fruits, some bready notes behind, slight resin, whole oranges and a bit of a crispy feel to the aroma. Taste is crispy hops, whole oranges, resin, pine, some bread, I get some malty sweetness, slight tropical notes, bright citrus fruits and just a little feel of the alcohol. Just wow.

Bottle from a trade with mashmaster. I believe this was the august batch. Hazy golden aber pour with a really nice and frothy egg-shell white head. Aroma is surprisingly very hop forward lol. Very citrusy and orangey, passion fruits, unripe pineapple, mango, resin, grass and a slightly herbel note. All this hoppiness on top of a decent malt backbone with some detectable sweetness. The sharp citrus edge in the aroma makes it wonderful. The taste just has loads of tropical fruitiness, pineapple, oranges, mango, a rather high malt sweetness, not overly bitter on the palate. The balance between sweet and bitter in this beer is exceptional. Strikingly and dangerously drinkable for an 11% beer. Need more of this.

On tap at ABC Brew Pub. Pours a copper color with a bit of off-white head. Aroma is candied grapefruit. Taste follows the nose with a nice citrus sweetness with just a bit of bitterness. This most recent batch was a malt bomb compared to other releases in the past. I liked this release a lot. A great beer.

(22oz bottle). Finally! Pours a hazy orange-golden color with a fluffy off-white head. Nice carbonation. Aroma is a nice mix of tropical fruits (papaya, mango) along with some pine and resin. There is a little spice in there as well. Taste is sweet-almost syrupy-with some spicy, bitter hops. Alcohol is noticeable, but not distracting in the least. Full bodied with a sticky texture. Good beer, but I wasn’t blown away by it. I do still crave their Nelson though!

(Bottle) Pours light hazy golden with an off-white head. The aroma holds hops! – sheep strawberry jam, sweaty grapefruit/oranges, white flowers, tropical juice, fresh herbs, black currant tea and pine. Undertones of dough, whisper of alcohol, bready/nutty/honey/toasted/light caramelly malt and light spicy oak wood. Fantastic nose, everything I like in a DIPA. The aroma is light sweet, near heavily bitter and light acidic. Tones of grapefruit, white flowers, tropical juice, herbs, grass, resin, pine, strawberries, black currant, toast, bread and dough. The mouthfeel is round and soft with a light to medium carbonation. Lingering complex, spicy and citric finish. Medium bodied.

Clearish straw yellow, huge fluffy sticky, rocky head leaves an impression on the glass and is truly spectacular. Fluffy nose, yeasty and minty, highly aromatic and spicy hops. Baby powder feel through the most original ingredient blending, sweet, resinous and cedary, which is an element I truly dig in IPAs. Very perfumey. The taste is not quite as impressive. We’re facing chewy hops that are well-flavored and still cedary/flowery, but more dominant, sappy and like an hopstick rather than a poem. Medium-full bodied, soft to moderate expanding carbonation.
