COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Delicious lemon and vanilla scented wheat beer with yeast. This is an aristocratic beer with a champagne sparkle and a beautifully sustained head. With the pale color of mountain honey and tart refreshing palate, it is a "brut" beer with the delicious, complex fruitiness of extra-dry champagne. Bottle conditioned and top fermented, it is a benchmark for this style of beer. The nose is fruity-spicy, herbaceous with lots of flowers, and fruit. With such a creamy head, you can build miniature mountains that resemble the Alps. Pour slowly, fill the special weissbier glass half full and swirl the bottle on the table to put the yeast in suspension.

Presentation: It was poured from a brown 500ml bottle into a tall weizen glass. The abv is listed on the back label (5.1%) but there is no freshness date. Appearance: The body has an orange/yellow color with a cloudy haze and some visible carbonation. On top I got a thick and creamy off white head. It is long lasting and makes slick lace ring which slowly slide down the sides of the glass. Smell: The aroma has notes of sweet bubble gum and banana peel with just a light touch of wheat malt. Taste/Palate: The flavor is not as sweet as the aroma foreshadowed. Tangy wheat meets the tongue first with a light clove banana yeast notes following. A touch of citrus and spicy/leafy hops leads into the finish which is crisp and fairly dry. The firm medium body has plenty of active carbonation give it a lively snappy texture. Notes: I love the texture and finish on this beer. Some German Hefeweizen beers get a little to slick on the palate but this one is crisp and feels alive with carbonation. Overall this is an outstanding Hefeweizen.

On tap at Ayinger bar Munich. Hazy gold orange colour lasting white head. Banana ester aroma. Full in the mouth. Banana and peach flavour in the mouth. Delicious Hefeweizen. Just the way I like it. Finish isn’t bitter. Just more rich sweet fruit. Excellent.

Odd I’d missed rating one of my favorite hefes earlier. Lots of lemon but more dry than tart. Banana, yeast and spices.

bottle. Pours cloudy golden orange with a foamy white head. Aroma is of wheat, lemon, banana, and spice. Taste is of wheat, with lots of lemon and banana. Has a nice underlying spiciness to it. After a few sips, a lot more lemon starts to come through. Has a fair amount of tartness as well. Finish is very dry. Mouthfeel is very carbonated and sticky. This drinks very easy. Damned good.

For the style, this is fantastic. A lot of citrus (lemon), faint banana. Great easy drinking brew. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Very light in clor, almost like a belgian Wit. Fruity nose with citrus, slightly earthy, banana. Lively carbonation, very refreshing with an individual taste and long finish.

Aroma of wheat, banana and hay. Pours cloudy golden liquid with a frothy white head. Medium sweetness, only very slight bitterness in the finish. Strong banana and wheat flavour, kind of milky, yogurt and a hint of citrus. Medium body, very smooth texture, soft and creamy, almost like milk. This is a great Hefeweizen, so smooth in the taste and the flavour really spreads inside of your mouth.
