Squeeze those hops for all they’re worth and prepare to pucker up: Tröegs’ newest single batch brew, Nugget Nectar Ale, will take hopheads to nirvana with a heady collection of Nugget, Warrior and Tomahawk hops. Starting with the same base ingredients of our flagship HopBack Amber Ale, Nugget Nectar intensifies the malt and hop flavors to create an explosive hop experience.

While the brewery considers this an "Imperial Amber Ale" RateBeer considers it an IPA due to the hopping rate. There is no need to send any other corrections on the style.

bottle- canibus and pine tree aroma- some of the dankest beer I have ever smelled- a syruppy/sticky mouthfeel combined with tremendous hop flavor in a neatly balanced package- so drinkable, and so delicious. Damn.

Draught. Darkish amber, slightly hazy beer with thick lacy head. Thick fudge, dried apricot and raisin aromas with delicate floral/necatry and slightly herbal/earthy hops. Malty and slightly sweet malt flavor with a hint of nutty toast. Fudge and vanilla in the finish with woody and drying bitterness. Medium body with round caramel texture and medium strong herbal/resinous hops bite. Nicely balances and different strong IPA.

Draft: Fruity while still being clean and crisp. This is a great IPA or "Imperial Amber Ale"... either way... it’s freaking tasty.

Intense aroma of hops, but not sharp, complex malty backbone, slight sweetness at the end. deep caramels, malts, pine and citrus hops. Interesting beer with a not common hops in Italy.

Amber color with big white head. Aroma is piney, caramel malt, very intense. Taste is more of the same, oily mouthfeel, quite rich, lots of forest. Bitterness is not too heavy, quite good!

Pours clear amber, small white head. Smell is very fruity, mango, full. Taste is sweet, bitter, fruity, mango again, together with a pine aspect. Bit bitter, clear crispy amber malty taste. Nice

Aroma is deep caramels, malts, pine needles and that odd slight smell of compost that I think appear in all red ales. Taste is actually awesome, which I was totally unprepared for. Big hoppy sensation with heavy malts. Incredible bitterness for being this style, and if you are going to brew a red ale / amber ale, hop that shit to kingdom come just like Tröegs . Awesome! And I don’t even like amber ales?

One of the best tasting beers out there. Huge hop aroma, great malty backbone, slight sweetness at the end. So drinkable.

Bottle. Orange toffee malt and tinny grapefruit peel aroma. Amber with nice head. Sweet orange-butterscotch malt and moderately bitter herbal hay flavor. Good body.
